Thanks for the post:good Valero looked really awesome in sparring, i mean he was having his way with Antillon who is a pretty damn good fighter himself.

Watching this makes you think more about would could have been.:patsch:-(

yeah to knock a tough guy out almost with a headshot is very very rare in sparring.

Antillon is a good fighter and a top 10 contender on many peoples list. Santa Cruz is a tough guy for almost anyone, just ask Casamayor. Juan Lazcanzo was also a top LW and JW contender at the time of this documentary.

Honestly, Valero only ever fought 1 creditable opponnet. Everybody looks good in training. Von Gogh, Tupac, & now Valero, everybody is loved and respected after their death. I did enjoy watching Valero and I thank him for his entertament in the ring, but w/o facing top guys it's hard for me to consider him a top level fighter due to his training camp footage..........RIP Valero

Thanks for posting this. I was a huge Valero fan. Tragedy is the only word I can think of about him now. Wasted talent is an understatement when said about Valero.

Well people are talking about the potential that he had. Nobody is saying that he died an atg, and about the comparison with other dead artist, I dont think people are going to remember Valero like that in 20 years.

It is sad because he had potential. Its not only us saying it, but trainers who (no offense) see top fighters in training everyday.
