Read above, do you think Calzaghe looks bad for pulling out of Lacy who most picked to beat him or for pulling out of fighting Sheika 3 times, maybe but just look at the results for yourselves, and you all conveneintly forget that when Calzaghe was ringside looking at Johnson as an opponent Johnson ruined his chance by losing again in his career to Woods, so what would Calzaghe gain from beating a fighter with a losing record in the double figures

Andre Berto is an undefeated, American champion. He gets next to zero respect in America. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is one of the most skilled fighters to ever step in the ring. He's also one of the most accomplished active fighters in the sport with one of the best resumes among active fighters. Despite this he still catches a lot of **** from the American media. Calzaghe being American would not mean that he would automatically be showered with praise. If he was American and fought the guys that he has fought, he would still get a lot of **** from Americans.

Who was LHW champ at the time and in his fight before beat Winky, and in his fight after beat Pavlik. Hopkins who was faking low blows and wilting, who had more shots landed on him than ever before, against a fighter having his first fight in a division that he hadnt fought before, and for Hopkins all this time later to still be so highly rated shows how much of a good win it was

Fought the guys hes fought who are better than the guys Berto fought overall. Please explain the problems with
Eubank, Reid, Woodhall, Brewer, Sheika, Mitchell, Mkertchyan, Manfredo, Bika, Sheika, Lacy, Veit, Starie, Kessler and Hopkins, not to mention Jones was still in The Ring top 10 when Calzaghe beat him.
All long reigning champs, with lots of defences have some bad names on their records, just look at Jones, Hopkins, Michalczewski and Ottke yet thay all have some good names on his resume

Good points. Although I don't regard Mayweather's resume quite as high as you seem to, the points are taken.
