I appreciate Pachilles. His "Cotto would outbox Duran on the backfoot" line is still his masterpiece, though.

Pachilles is great value...he brings a literary flair to Duran hate that I really dig.

Pachilles if you ever get a chance mate you have to watch this commentary on some Duran fights I bought years ago before I bought the Duran set off the net.
Its a DVD I bought in a electronics store that has the Cueves, Moore and DeJesus II fights on it...grabbed it from the sports section.

Its quite clear the commentary as been re-recorded and isnt live...Its pretty cringe worthy mate, even for me. Its basically just Duran spruiking from start to finish, the knob polishing borders on farcical..even if some of is warranted, it gets a bit much...I think you would get a kick out of it.

:lol:Its all too much for me to add to...I may have been convinced Duran is a top 10 P4P fighter a month ago...or have i?:think I can never give you the satisfaction of knowing. Theres too much cringe involved amongst that crowd, i cannot be associated in any way with that level of cringe, its against my principles, i'd have to quit posting here.

Why the wrestler did not choose, at least, a light hw?

There was actually a rumor in Bay Area (where Lawlor is from) boxing circles that Duran, facing financial troubles, threw that fight and had friends of his place a large bet on Lawlor, the underdog.
