Manny pacquiao vs diego corrales 135lb

I'd have to give it to Pacquaio. Corrales would give up his height and reach to slug it out on the inside. No reason to suggest he wouldn't do so against Manny. I picture Corrales chasing Pac around the ring without throwing a shot while getting tattooed as he did with Mayweather, however Pac stops him by ko. Corrales would keep trying to get Manny on the ropes or on inside trading. Manny would circle and buzz him.

Pacquiao is faster, hits harder, has a much better chin, better stamina, better punch diversity, more technical ability, more able to adapt and control the fight.

I liked Corrales a lot but no way does he win.

I'd pick Manny, but Diego has a puncher's chance. Anyone who stands in front of Corrales and trades can get KTFO at any moment.

 

Corrales is tailor made for Pacquiao. He gets beat up and knocked out in the late rounds.

Corrales would be a huge underdog...he is the epitome of "made for pac". Slow on his feet somewhat chinny fighter. His reach isnt that great either for a tall guy, MAB has the same 70" reach and Morales has longer reach at 72". He's just tall who fights short whos got great punching power. Pac will land at him 4-1, Pac takes him out inside 5 rounds IMO.

 

I don't remember Diego ever taking advantage of his height, reach or jab....he always fought inside and wasn't a great pure-boxer. So his size wouldn't be a factor. He could bang though. But standing and trading with Pac, who is faster and likely stronger than the fighters that stopped Corrales in the past (Castillio, Mayweather)...Pac would finish him off by around the 7th.

 

Let's stop and think, Pac at 135 was not the monster he his know, so even if Pac wins it wouldn't be how Mayweather beat him.
