Why wouldn't Amir Khan rematch Breidis Prescott?

For the same reason Wlad isn't trying to kick Corrie Sanders ass right now?

Do you have a problem understanding present tense? :huh "isn't" not "didn't". Is he? Would you like to show me some proof that since Wlad has become the dominant reigning champion in recent times he has actually tried to fight Corrie ****ing Sanders? I'd be shocked if you did. But I'd accept the proof.

...Anyway, Khan has become champion and won several fights against name fighters. Prescott has...lost twice and beat a nobody in his last three. What's the point? It's the same reason there'd be no point in Wlad trying to get a rematch with the golfing lefty. Khan went on to better things, Prescott went on to ****all.

Prescott isn't an old and retired ex-champion, you're right. He's absolutely nothing instead. What would Khan prove by fighting him? That he can outbox the same guy Miguel Vazquez can outbox? Prescott doesn't deserve a title shot, FFS. Let alone at 140. Best case scenario- Khan beats an already beaten one-hit wonder, worst case scenario-gets mercilessly knocked out again, losing his title and marketability. Great matchmaking.

 

Prescott is really ****. I can't believe Khan ever let himself get caught by such a wide, poorly thrown punch. My guess is, Roach would no way in hell have put him in an immediate rematch with Prescott. And now Prescott's hype is gone from the first fight, so I suppose they see no reason for it. I'd think it'd still sell in England though, just because people would be anxious to see if Prescott could land another shot and put Khan out again.

 

I would think he'd want to avenge it, regardless of how much is makes sense now.

 

Because there are much better people he could be taking on at 135 and 140 that would prove the point that his detractors use against him based on the prescott fight-that he can't fight a hard puncher!

Katsidis, Alexander, Maidana are all superior opponents in this regard...
