Ahmed Öner is on the record saying that Valuev is unwilling to fight Solis for a WBC eliminator unless he receives an "exorbitant" purse.

This is just further proof that Valuev has become completely delusional and wants to avoid risky fights against Solis and Vitali at all costs. The only way to rationalize his behavior is if he indeed hopes to rematch Haye soon and make a bigger paycheck against Haye than against Solis, thinking a win against Haye is more likely than a win against Solis or Vitali (I disagree, I think he has zero chance against either of the three). From his point of view though any other explanation for his behavior doesn't make sense.

Very interesting. I think Valuev might retire if he can't get Haye into the ring right away. Either that or go "on tour".

If you want a fight with Valuev, you pay by the pound. It's only fair. If they can't pony up the cash for SNV, well the big man is perfectly content reading Arthur Conan Doyle while killing wild boars with his bare hands. GO NIKO!

Valuev wants one final pay day. I think he's settled with the idea that he's unlikely to win against top opposition, so instead of going out against Solis, he could be fighting Vitali or Haye for a much heftier pay check. Really think he's targeting the Haye rematch clause.

Even though Haye's a fraud masquerading as a heavyweight titlist, he's a draw in England and he'd earn Valuev enough to ensure he has a happy life. (not that Valuev is poor, all those years of fighting bums surely must have added to his walet)

Well, why should Valuev fight Solis if Klitschko wants to fight him next? Vitali called him out.

The winnner of Solis vs Valuev was set to be the mandatory challenger for Vitali. If Valuev wants the fight against Vitali, he could just take it now. With that said, I think Valuev is afraid of Vitali and won't fight him, unless he gets a huge payday to cash out on.

Oner is a liar what that man says prove less than nothing.
Looks like Valuev wants that fight badly and Solis is scared
maybe Oner just cant afford a ring that can carry the weight of Solis and Valuev and so he claims Valuev is pricing out himself...

Valuev ducks NO ONE. He is physically incapable of it. Why duck when you walk right over?

Exactly, Solis is just massively underrating Nikolay's worth. :good
In my unbiased and educated opinion, SNV deserves at least 90% of the purse here.

I guess it is Don King who is pricing Valuev out of the WBC eliminator against Solis. King did the same when Valuev was offered very good money to fight Vitaliy KlitschKO. King wants to have option for Haye if Harrison fight fells through. Anyway, I would not accept any word coming from Oner like it is a pure eye drop. He has really bad reputation.

My thoughts exactly... This teamup with King will cost Valuev dearly, like so many boxers in the past.

This low-balling of the poor odd man out (Russian) is really sickening. Valuev is the big show, and I don't mean the wrestler. His chest hair alone could draw tens of thousands. A person per strand at the least. Besides that, Sweet Nicky V probably is just standing up to the corrupt Empress Julie Sulaiman and the WBC. I don't blame him...for his integrity. Do you? I mean, honestly?

The greatest boxer of all time has earned himself the right to take 100% of the purse.
