Will Floyd retire undefeated?

well the way he cherry picks..he could,

 

I doubt it. He will milk the boxing fans as much as possible until he is no longer sellable.

He can retire now undefeated, why should he if he can still make money. Hes a business man remember?

 

I'd be leaning slightly towards yes.

There's just not enough decent paydays for him out there after Pacquaio to keep fighting for much longer.

Cotto- reasonable payday if he can get established at 154

Margarito- reasonable payday (unlikely cos of handwrap scandal)

Williams- Small payday against a really tall guy

Martinez- Small payday (Could be seen as worth it if it's for MW championship)

Berto, Bradley, Alexander I can't see making a name for themselves fast enough.

I could see it going:

1) Pacquaio

2) Martinez

3) Khan

I don't see his path getting any more difficult/longer than that. Pacquaio for a mega payday, Martinez to be crowned MW champ, and Khan in England after Amir establishes himself as a draw.

 

Personally I think he will beat Pac, and have one more meaningfull fight then retire.

 

Its very possible he retires unbeaten,if he stays at welter he is going to be very hard to beat.If he moves up again the combination of weight and age could see him lose.

 

if floyd ducks and dodges Pacquiao, Cotto, Williams, Margarito and Khan, yes he will stay undefeated. but it's a fraudulent unbeaten record consisting of handpicked opposition.

 

If he retires tomorrow, yes, he can. Honestly, though, if he fights and beats Pacquiao, he has a damn good chance to retire unbeaten, because of how careful he'd be when it came to opponent selection...

I can see him doing it. I don't even think he wants to be fighting now but he's a good businessman. So, he doesn't strike me as a "stay too long" fighter. And I favor him over anyone he's likely to fight. Plus he's already retired undefeated, that once...

 

If he fights paul williams he loses that zero. Tall with a long reach and throws around 1000 punches = little chance for floyd. If he goes for the middle weight title against sergio its a toss up. His age could soon become a factor at the age of 35 giving floyd a good chance, but assuming it does not floyd very well could lose that battle too. Other than that I find it very hard to see floyd losing considering his nature. Like most I believe he has three more fights and hangs em up.
1)Pac
2)Cotto (if he can string some wins together)
3)Williams (If he magically gains a fan base) if not Martinez at MW

 

He WILL fight Pac.

And that's a 50-50.
