OK guys who do you like? If this has been posted before sorry, I couldn't find it when I searched it. Prime Tyson vs Prime Tua? This is such a dream matchup for me two big punchers, two good chins. Mike has the edge in speed but Tua has a better chin in my view and they both can punch!!
Tyson by unanimous decision. too fast and skilled. better all around puncher. tua won't like it when a man sticks fast combinations in his face at midrange forcing him on the backfoot. tua will be beat to the punch all night.
Prime for Prime, I think Tyson outclasses him even if he has to survive some scary moments but if they both fought say, 2000 or later, I'd favor Tua. I think Tua aged better.
I see Tyson winning on points, I don't know if he ever really hurts Tua as that chin is rock solid but I think he wins on points.
I picked Tyson points thinking Tua's chin is undentable, but I've changed my mind to Tyson KO. Tua hasa top class chin, but he can still be hurt, I think Lennox hurt him while never commiting to the attacks. Tua never took the type of attacks Tyson would bring to him, and I see him potentially taking a beating and getting stopped
I think Tyson would win pretty easily tbh, nothing against Tua but there's a big gap between the two in terms of boxing ability. It's unfortunate that the fights where he took on guys his own height were on the way up. I never saw any of those until I got broadband and it's really interesting to see him up on his toes and boxing when he doesn't need to get inside bigger men. I think if he fought Tua in that fashion then Tua would struggle to take a round from him.
Two huge punchers with great chins going at it? Tua was often lackadaisical with his offense, vouching to go through periods of 30-40 seconds doing absolutely nothing but posing. This won't work for him very well here, and in Tyson you have a fighter who threw in combination, body and head, and actually utilized head movement to avoid his opponent's heavily artillery. Tua won't be able to get off first, and his head is quite stationary in comparison. Tyson on points for me.
Tyson early. Tua will be shipping punches from the get-go, and nobody is taking combinations from Tyson. The one's who went the distance with him are the one's who fought smart and got on their bike. Tua will be wide open for combinations and he will be punished.
I can see this being a real war early. I think both survive early and then slow the pace some in the later rounds. I'm going with Tyson by decision.
Tyson by knockout. He will push Tua back, and he can't fight backwards for toffee. Lewis could (and should) have been more aggressive to force a stoppage, but instead opted to stay outside and coast to a points win.
I like Mike. In fact, I love Mike but wasnt that Tua that hurled threats at Mike once? Mike looked a little intimidated to me.
I thought Mike looked a little intimidated during the Bruno staredown also. ...Didn't have any baring on the result, though.
