Then don't say that it's a toss up. I think you miss this excerpt: "I was not surprised that he (Pacquiao) won," said Hirsch. "I was a bit surprised by the decisiveness of Pacquiao's winning, however. "Pacquiao's margin was so decisive, and if the voters felt Mayweather deserved it, they would have obviously voted for him, he added.
I think you missed the part where I said. I FEEL. Me, my own feelings. I FEEL. Jesus, can you really be that ******ed? Just because I feel that Pac or Mayweather deserved it, doesn't mean Im hating on Pac.
Floyd's layoff(retirement) pretty much took him out of the running, and sealed it for Pac. I'm a Floyd fan, but Pac accomplished more over the decade. Now the only satisfaction May can get is to beat Pac. Would be sweet.
Who cares on what you FEEL? :rofl (joke) Just say it's your own personal opinion. This is a discussion board, we deal with opinions here not FEELINGS (emotions, sentiments).
Yes it's an opinion and you didn't say it's your FEELING the first time you post it. "No, it was a toss up between Mayweather and Pacquiao." (Look no FEEL there. ) But when you said, "I FEEL", it seems your opinion is more governed by your inner emotions and sentiments. This is a trivial matter, just let it go.
The fact you couldn't tell the small difference between clearly what I meant was my opinion between the fact that the voting wasn't close means you just are looking for things that aren't there. You assumed I was hating on Pac. That's all. Simple as that.
I didn't assumed you're hating on PAC when you said "it's a toss up". I corrected your opinion since I've read that PAC won the award decisively and it's not even close per BWAA president.
The 2 year lay off by PBF and Pac finishing the decade stronger clinched it for him. This is why I feel it is decisive choice - Pac is FotD. If PBF did not take a lay off it would have been closer. Would he been the choice? Maybe. It would still depend on the theoretical fighters he would have matched up with and the results of those fights. If we move his schedule down, Marquez would have unlikely to happen (weight and schedule). Mosley, Berto, Margarito and Cotto would have been the likely match up. So Mosley and Cotto or Margarito wins would have given it to him or at least make it as close as you can get. But that is the land of ''should of, would of, could of". The reality is he had a 2 year lay off and Pac had a better 2007-2009 year. As they say, it is not how you start a fight, but you how you finish it. (MAB win earlier in the decade sure did not hurt)
See, you even just admit that you were correcting MY OPINION. ****ing moron. Just cause I said I FEEL doesn't mean it's feelings. If I said I fell Pac won the fight by way of UD 8-4. That would be giving my opinion. Just because I used the world FEEL.
I'm just laughing at the dude putting Hopkins 3rd. Hopkins is overrated period. He lost to elite (Jones/Calzaghe) and non elite (Taylor) he also had one of the worst ever title defenses against a French dude that I cant recall his name. And Floyd's just crying cause his peers ***** slapped him.
Pacquiao coming out on top against the three greatest Mexican fighters of his generation is what made it for me. Even if he hadn't beaten Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, and Clottey I would have said he deserved it. His level of competition was simply incredible and it was so consistant in time from late 2003 to early 2008. There isn't one year from 2003 to 2008 where he didn't fight either Barrera, Marquez, or Morales. and then in 2009 he fought Hatton and Cotto which is a notch below but still very very high. that was the cherry on the sundae
