Either you have an uharnessed rap brilliance that you were unaware of, you share a brain with Scarface from the Ghetto Boys,....or you're quoting "My minds playing tricks on me" and I quote: "I make big money, I drive big cars, everybody knows me...it's like I'm a movie star". No disrespect intended, down here the Ghetto Boys are "made men".

Didnt James Toney call Dana White and said that he wanted to fight Brock Lesnar and fight in the UFC? I don't nessacrily think Dana went out and recruited Toney. It was Toney's idea.

Dude you guys forget that James Toney is a WORLD CLASS athlete. He was in camp with Deon Sanders and knocked him spark out. That is why he focused on boxing. He may be stronger, faster, and more agile than ANYTHING Randy has seen so far.

Look man Dana fires "bums" out of the UFC all of the time. Tell me what on God's green earth makes Toney not a "bum" by UFC standards? More power to the UFC if any random dude can make a call out and get a shot at an ATG. Where ish Herschel's shot?

I will tell you. Nothing. Just like Kimbo. Then to match him up with an close Olympic level wrestler to "test the waters"? Great match making eh? The only purpose is to feed the flame war between the two sports. It speaks to Dana's professionalism.

I would be happy if every ABC belt gave every MMA fighter in EVERY weight class a shot at their respective belt holder. It won't happen though, because it just cheapens the sport.

Yes, the people have spoken, and it would seem they agree that Toney will either win, or he will lose, in the event that there is no draw.

Stronger than anyone Couture has faced? :huh

Couture has just fought Brock Lesnar,Gabriel Gonzaga, and Mark Coleman in his recent fight. Do you know anything about those fighters? Come on WTF?

And I honestly don't think Toney at 41 is faster than Vitor Belfort, that mother ****er is blazing fast. Couture over powered him and pounded him in to submission twice brutally. That is what is going to happen to Toney. I suggest you watch the Couture vs Belfort fights. Belfort is very quick but Couture would not give him a chance to get punches off he would swarm in immediately in for the take down, and kept taking Belfort down over and over. Accept when Toney is down, he will not get back up.

Couture wouldn't risk boxing with Toney. He will take the fight to the ground all the time and Toney wouldn't know what to do.

If Toney actually gets in shape for this but hasn't been in shape for any boxing match in the past 7 years or so, I am going to be a bit miffed.

Man I didn't mean to side track you on this so I apologize. The Ghetto Boys are an early to mid 90's Rap group from Texas (USA), they did a relatively popular song called "My minds playing tricks on me", the opening line of that song is: "I make big money, I drive big cars, everybody knows me, it's like I'm a movie star". I assumed when I saw in your avatar "everybody knows me"....then the continuation into "It's like I'm a movie star" that it was a reference (that where I come from would be pretty sweet and pretty clever as it's not "mainstream" and it's not "new") to the song. Which is when I made the initial post as I thought it was a bit of a mutual interest that would merrit acknowledgment. From that point we got ours wires crossed and I was essentially "nodding in agreement" having no idea where we were going, so to be respectful as I tend to agree with many of your posts and at this point I'm kinda in "your house", so I wasn't going to just be a dick. Either way man, I agree Couture would beat the **** out of James Toney, and since you obviously haven't before you might want to check out "My minds playing tricks on me" by the Ghetto Boys as it's a classic. Again man my bad for all the confusion.
