Golota has never been the same since the car accident that took his jab away.

If his arm is better and he trims down to 240 or less I believe he can still bang with Holy.

Not just the jab, but his over all athleticism, speed as well. Pre-car accident Golota had awesome head movement, legs, ring generalship, speed, PLUS a killer left jab. After the Grant fight Golota was slower, moved more plodding as evident in the Orlin Norris fight. Golota's physical prime was short lived.

I wonder how much had to do with not just the car accident but leaving Bloodworth and Duva? Golota first started looking like **** when he hooked up with Al Certo. But of course that was around the time of the car accident too. Guess they both did him in.

I think Holy beats Golota at this point. Golota's goose is cooked.

I wouldnt mind Golota going out with a win against a member of the bum of the month club. But he's gonna have to scape the bottom of the barrell or he could wind up looking silly yet once again and spoil the going out party.

Yeah...everytime i find myself saying well if his arm heals ..... Its not going to happen, the arm isnt healing and what weve seen the last few times is what we will see again only worse. Fact of the matter is GOLOTA could have been an ATG in my opinion with his skill set, if not for the mental collapse at the hands of Bowe, thats where the problems started. Had he won that first fight and the rematch, who knows what would have happened with his career. Unforunatly we'll never know... :(

Even after that, from 2000-2007, I think Golota would have beaten Holyfield.

He is just painfully slow these days.

I don't know, and I'd rather not find out at this point.

    I've often wondered that, too.

The car accident obviously did Golota in to a large extent, but at the same time, Bloodworth had Golota operating like a machine when he was at his best.

Bloodworth is a great trainer. I am impressed by what he did with Adamek.

I think it's Ronnie's job, Bloodworth was there like 2 weeks with Adamek, imo the main props should go to Shields, but I don't deny Roger is a great trainer, just take a look what Golota was doing to Bowe, there were Roger's hands in preparations and advices in the corner. They both create a nice crew, they fill up the lacks of time and knowledge - if they have any.

What about Golota-Holyfield ? Any news? It was in the air before Evander KOed Botha.

greetings, Golota's Express is still alive :D nice, huh ? :happy

Only possible chance for Andrew is...

    A) his arm is at least 80%
    B) he trims down to no more than 240
    C) strength endurance cardio training

    Yeah, I would definitely say a combination of A & B.

On another note, not sure if you guys heard the latest edition of On the Ropes Boxing Radio, but we had Chris Byrd on and I asked him a couple of questions about his fight with Golota.

Is Byrd still married to that loudmouth? They just seem like total opposites.
