Mares is probably heading to a rematch with Perez next and if he beats Perez we might get to see a unification bout between him and Vazquez Jr in another Mexico-Puerto Rico battle. Who takes this one?
I can't believe some here actually thinks Mares can beat Vazquez Jr lol. Vazquez Jr is the faster fighter with better skills. If it happens, i got Vazquez Jr by 8th round ko.
Imho Montiel would murder Mares at this point. Maybe if Mares gets a couple more fights under his belt then I would find this more interesting. Back to thread, I would guess V Jr. breaks down Mares late scoring a tko around the 11th. I bet it would be a good fight though, Mares was better than I expected in his fight with Yon, and I'm sure he will get better.
Yup. I guess most here forgot about that. Mares is a mexican brawler but his style imo is perfect for Vazquez Jr cause Vazquez is a very good boxer with pure skills. And Vazquez got pop and fast hands. I see Vazquez tko Mares in the late rounds. And i'm willing to bet on it.
I wouldnt say Mares is just a brawler, i think he has some good boxing skills but i havent seen much from Vasquez to form an opinion on this to be honest.
