Nothing like Eubank, Benn and Watson and to a lesser extent Collins becuase both are over rated but Cleverly is the better fighter with the better punches and speed.

McIntosh said he would fight Bellew for the vacant British in boxingnews last week.

I pick Clev if its within a year. 2 years i would be 50-50

Clevery appears to have more talent and look more athletic. Bellew's talent is probably in his intangiables. Cleverly looks flashy, Bellew looks to have some substance in his cleaner boxing.

Good fight. If Bellew puts fist to face alot then he can make sure it's sleepy time for Cleverly.

Cleverly's boxing is sloppy as ****.

I know that sky overplay it to the max but he is practicly part time. One Cleverly goes full time maybe he can move outside Wales and start working with a top trainer. Would love to see him with the Ingles or McCracken. At the very least he can he can travel and spar around Europe and the states.

He would be great sparring for anyone in the Super 6.

I know it's mentioned quite a bit but does anybody else think that this part time thing is bollocks. He does more than enough training at the moment as is more than fit-enough. I dont think we're gonna see drastic improvements in Cleverely when he finishes his studies. I actually think Cleverley is a good boxer shows decent power and is pretty skillful, I just dont expect all these changes when he 'takes it up full time'.

As for this fight, i'd like to see Bellew take on at least two higher levelled opponents. Fry, McIntosh and if not them two then go for Euro fighters.... Kovacs or Uzelkov, maybe even Vegas or someone before Clev. I think he will beat Cleverley and i'm very confident in saying so, but i'd still like to see him in with a couple (at least) of higher echelon fighters before it happens

Sorry Dan but your completley wrong.

Have you done a degree Dan? Your final year is like a full time job and it takes allot out of you mentally. I would say at the moment Cleverly is spending a minimum of 6 hours a day studying. Of course he could fit training into the day to but then when is he switching off and relaxing.

A boxer needs to be 100% dedicated to boxing. 95/100 when a fighter loses they blame it on distractions, not being focues. At the highest level thats where the difference lies.

Cleverly is not 100% dedicated to boxing and has not been at any point in his career.

Fair enough Rob i'm not taking anything away from the lad there and maybe that came across as dismissive i'm just saying I dont expect these 'Massive' improvements to come when he stops his studying :good

I actually agree with Dan, you are not going to see any massive improvements with cleverly, just what you would expect with age and experience.

I don't think I did six hours voluntary studying in a semester, I passed by basically handing in the stuff I'd done at work

I know i'd be suprised if my mates did 2-3 hrs a day when they were there. Maybe a bit more closer to the exams but not ****ing 6 hours everyday

very interesting. how u think this wud sell with a very decent undercard. cleverly was very open for lead rights in his last fight and cant take to many of them against bellew where as cleverly is the more experienced.
