''I was going to fight Golovkin for the middleweight crown but he had everything to gain and I had nothing to gain. It was a bad business decision for me,''

''I want to announce today, to the world, I’m dropping to 154 pounds. Some of the best fighters in the world are at that weight. Looking ahead, I want to mix it with the best in the world as far as Margarito, Cotto."

"My main goal and my reborn focus is to fight one man - and that man is Floyd Mayweather. When I really started thinking about going to junior middleweight, I saw Margarito fight, Cotto moving up … I thought, if I can beat these guys and wipe out the division, Floyd has to fight me."

"Right now they are probably going to think I am crazy. I mean there would be some Mundine fans saying 'yeah, Mundine is going to get him' but to the American public they wouldn't have a clue,"

''Right now, if he reads this … he's going to say, 'Who the hell is Mundine?' But in 12 months or 18 months, he's going to know who I am. I told my management I want to bring them out here to showcase to my fans and countrymen. But if I have to, I'll go over there."

"Next year the invasion is going to start and once I get a Margarito or a Cotto or a name of that stature and I put a beat down on them, people will say, 'OK, here is another boy in the mix'."

"Now I'm pumped. I just want to get in the ring and wipe out everyone in front of me until I get the attention of the right people."

''I want to wipe out the junior middleweight division and make Mayweather take note that I am gunning for him. He is a smart fighter … and the best pound-for-pounder at the moment. I saw Mayweather fight Mosley. But what has he got that I haven't got? I am a very similar fighter to him and he is going to have more trouble with me because I am just as fast and as strong."

''We are very similar fighters but he is 5-foot-8 [172cm] and I am 5-11 and I am coming down from the start of my career when I was crazy fighting at super-middleweight to junior-middleweight, and he is coming up. A good big man should always beat a good little man, even he would tell you that. He thinks he is the best in the world pound-for-pound, and I think I could become the best in the world pound-for-pound.''

“I want to be the best pound-for-pound in the world. I’m really starting to realise my potential, starting to realise what I can achieve. I want to be the best. There’s only one man that can beat Floyd and that’s me. I know that because I fight like him."

“He fought Oscar De Lay Hoya at 154 pounds. He’s going to have to fight me. The fight will have to be made. I believe he can beat Pacquiao but I don’t believe he can beat me.”

On working with Freddie Roach in his Wild Card gym:
''It was very beneficial and, hopefully, we're going to have a working relationship with him and his team. If you watched Rocky III, when Apollo Creed went back to the old school gym and you saw the blood, sweat and tears, that's what this gym is like."

"I had that gym buzzing, man. The first day I went in there no-one wanted to know me but as soon as I showed them what I had I was treated as a superstar,"

"It's got me buzzing as well. I have realised my potential now. It was very beneficial.
Freddie wanted to see how I committed myself to the gym and to the training. What he saw blew him away. That's why hopefully we're going to have a working relationship with Roach and his team."

"I got a sense of confidence. I'm just another level above. I feel like very time I step in the ring, I can climb that extra level if I need to."

''On the Wednesday I had Sam Worthington come and watch me train. I got a sense of confidence … I reckon by early next year it is going to be the start of the invasion.''

This is the best part. I can't blame Mundine. All of these fighters want to get paid. They know if they fight Mayweather, they are going to get a hefty payday.

You guys are being a bit hard on The Man. Dont you realise that the Otke punch was The perfect punch ? Choc was readying to lay him out.
