If not for the mental lapses, just how good could Golota have been?

What evidence do you have to support this?

Golota went the distance or got beat by every good fighter he faced.

Not Wlad. Wlad was one of the most naturally gifted heavyweights we have ever seen. people forget just how good he looked coming up in the late 1990s. He was a devastating two fisted assassin. He looked like he was going to be better than lennox lewis. Wlad's combinations were just perfect back then. Lethal too. Yes some of his major flaws eventually became exposed, but in terms of natural talent..few surpassed Wlad.

As much as i dislike the Klits, (mainly due to Clithuggers) I have to agree with this, Only guys like Tyson, Louis, and Ali were more gifted IMO.

Golota could have been a champion for years.

If it wasn't for his mental instability Golota could have made it to round 2 with Lewis.

Its pretty amazing knowing what a freak of nature Bowe was. The fact that he took all those bombs, is just....wow...

Golota was unlucky for the fact that 1.He had a really short temper, and 2. Bowe had such a good chin.

Honestly, some of those bombs Golota landed on Bowe could probably take out a horse.

He was decent but i think the Bowe fights flattered him a little bit.If he had not had his problems he would have probably taken Lewis into the later rounds and have been making a fight of it but lost.If he was at his peak now he would have been in with a very good chance of getting a belt.

I don't know how you can claim that. For me, all time great power would be; Tyson, Foreman, Lewis, Wlad Klitschko. All time great defense; Ali, Holmes, Wlad. ATG chin; Ali, McCall, Holyfield etc, etc. I'm not claiming these are the absolute best in each category but they deserve to be called 'great' in these attributes. I don't see how Golota would belong in any of them

It's like asking Mrs. Lincoln: ...but aside from that, how did you like the play?

You can't say that about one of the most exciting and most talented heavies in the 90s. He had his mental lapses, which is evident, but to completely discredit all that he achieved, and all the talent he possesed, and pretend he didnt exist or to "forget about him" isnt fair.

Lets also not forget that if it wasnt for crooked, **** judging, we may have had a 2-time HW champion.

Golota fought hard and proud against both Byrd and Ruiz and got jobbed. :deal And this was well past his best days, without his most powerful weapon, that beautiful jab.

He had his mental brakedown long before the fight or any headbutt. It was all to clear. Inside, Golota is a coward. And Tyson did alot more damage with his punches landing then that headbutt. Funny the big ball breaker would complain about one headbutt. And that interview was the result of him still being scared to death and also having his head smashed by Tysons gloves. :deal
