Do you by any chance know if they will be showing Yordenis Ugas' debut fight tonight as well? And, yes, I would be very interested in hearing a RBR. I'll be watching but I also always enjoy your analysis. It's very good, btw.
Going to be a night of KO/TKO's. I expect Galarza to earn a KO over Solomon. Solomon is the faster, more fluid guy, but he keeps his hands low quite a bit and I expect Kenny to KO him with a left hook. Galarza is a bit wild at times but he makes up for it when he connects. Solomon is probably better technically but I don't think he's going to be the one to expose Kenny's weaknesses. I expect a KO from Yudel Johnson as well; same with Evans.
Yudel Johnson, unbeaten 154lb Cuban prospect who defected and turned pro with Rigondeaux and Despaigne (sort of like how Gamboa, Solis and Barthelemy did the buddy system and came as a package deal in promotional and managerial terms). Juliano Ramos is 16-3 (13) but the two more recent losses are to Kermit Cintron and Mike Jones...nothing to be too ashamed of. The welterweight cofeature pits two undefeated youngsters against one another in Kenny Galarza (the puncher) and Brad Solomon (the boxer, who has appeared on FNF before when he beat "The New" Ray Robinson in impressive fashion).
:good thanks mate usually its on TV here but the stanley cup is on for the 5 ice hockey fans in the uk. How good is Johnson see a lot of people going for an early KO in the prediction league but going 5 with Cintron and only retiring makes me think he can take a good beating. Looking forward to the Boxer Vs Puncher fight as well, Solomon derailed the new Ray Robinson big time i haven't seen him or heard anything since.
Brad was actually supposed to face Hammerin' Hank Lundy at a card here in Boston recently but was replaced at the last minute with Richard Abril for some reason. :conf IB and his buddy, who paid tickets specifically to see that originally scheduled main event, were not amused. He's also, since Robinson, beaten Damian Frias (the Cuban slickster who took Freddy "El Riel" Hernandez the distance in a nationally televised loss back in October).
I'm looking foward to seeing Johnson. I like Rigondeaux but I'm not to high on Despaigne at all. I think he will be the Barthelemy of the group and Rigondeaux will be like Gamboa and is going to be rushed even faster then Gamboa was.
Lundy seems to be a good action guy but I doubt he'll make it to the world class level. Just to crude. He's fighting John John Molina next and that should be a good action fight.
You took the words out of my mouth. Joe Tessitore is receiving a BWAA award, and a fat goofy looking ginger is subbing in.
