I like Solomon, but damn, the way he jumps in is not good. Of course, he's always been able to get away with it so far with the level of competition.
Round 5 Solomon dancing around. Galarza no-nonsense, waiting for Solomon in the center of the ring rather than wasting wind. Solomon orbits Galarza and tattoos his forearms with leather. Solomon very slick in his movement but does occasionally drop his hands while still a bit too close for comfort. Galarza eats an upperhook counter as he slow-jabs in. Galarza sticks his left hand out to gauge distance and Solomon loops his own around it with a little check hook as he skips sideways. 50-45 Solomon
Solomon has made Galarza miss amazingly wildly. Galarza kind of sucks to say the least, but Solomon is still impressive. He transitions so smooth. Very nice.
Either you're drastically overrating Foreman, or figure Cotto has nothing left. I somehow doubt Foreman would make it as easy as Solomon. Cotto is nowhere near as bad as this joker.
Difference is Foreman wont throw half as many punches as Soliman already has in the whole fight and Cotto actually has great timing andwill catch Foreman when he comes in.
Round 6 Solomon standing in front of Galarza and simply blasting away, overwhelming him with handspeed rather than potshotting and resuming defensive posture. He does go back to his circling after a while. Galarza tries some underhand rips to the belly and clips the groin area. The ref takes a point - fair play, Galarza had multiple stern warnings. Galarza comes out aggressive and gets his face reddened for his trouble. He does sneak a few shots in (mostly downstairs) but is getting countered brutally. Solomon's accuracy going up quite a bit, thanks to Galarza's reckless aggression. Solomon leaps in with a lead hook and Galarza grabs him, then fires a few short wrist-snap hooks into Solomon's cheek. 60-54 Solomon
Solomon wasn't the right fight for Galarza, that being said, Solomon fights like a punk. Jumping in like a *****. Dirty as well. He should win this fight though. Hope I don't have to see him again.
Round 7 It's getting physical now. A lot of leaning, a lot of pushing off with elbows and forearms from both guys. No actual clinches per se, so the ref is letting them work through it. Punches are just not really on the menu this round. Oh, there's a little amuse bouche from Galarza in the form of a pawed jab. Solomon backs into the ropes to invite Galarza in, facefirst, with a lead hook as a welcome mat. Galarza throws incredibly slow power shots, his arms look leaden. He lowblows Solomon again but the ref doesn't see it. Galarza tries a 1-2 from well outside of range. Solomon is able to punish him, firing his longer arms over the stubs and scoring. 70-63 Solomon
