So in anticipation of the Cotto-Foreman fight, I am having a head vs. heart battle, since my head is telling me that this is a Pavlik - Martinez type of upset, but my heart wants Cotto to win. So with that said, has Cotto historically struggled against taller boxers? I know he lost to Margarito but that loss is tainted, and he annihilated Quintana. I realize that Cotto is moving up in weight and has both emotional and physical damage, but I'm just wondering if anyone can provide examples of how Cotto has dealt with taller boxers in the past. For all I know, he might not have dealt with too many, 'cuz I can't think of anyone beyond Jennings, Quintana, and Margarito.

Well, Cotto is a very short welterweight so considering that and the fact that he's only had two losses I'd say his track record is prety good against his taller opponents..

Cotto may have fought guys in the past with a slight height advantage, but none with such a significant height advantage. Foreman is not the taller boxer, he is the much taller boxer.

Foreman is 5'11" just like Antonio Margarito... and both Kelson Pinto & Carlos Maussa are listed at 5'10-1/2"

Well then, I guess I can't argue with the facts. However, I don't feel that any of those guys fight tall. Foreman MUST fight tall, which he does anyway.

If Cotto was a short welterweight, he will be a shorter superwelterweight. This is uncharted territory for Cotto.

I'm really wondering if this will play out like the Quintana fight or be more like the Pavlik - Martinez fight.

Hasn't Cotto only fought one guy shorter than him his entire career?
