I think Pacquiao's oldest foe to date was ODLH who was 35 when he fought Pac.

Floyd's last opponents have been 36 and 39 respectively.

I'll wait till an official announcement.

BUT, if it's true, there's no excuse. It would be the 2nd time as well.

Hopefully, it's just Floyd talking just to keep negotiations behind the scenes only.

If there is no sign of him fighting this year, specifically against Pac....

If anybody really wants this fight to be made, maybe the best way to get this fight done is for Everybody to start blasting his legacy right now. Pay him no attention for interviews for now

Team Pac, Media, Fans...anybody with a voice. Even Helen Keller needs to get in on this. Praise Pac, down-play Floyd.

    Blast Floyd's legacy.

    No more praise.

Make him feel uncomfortable and under appreciated.

Maybe that will get him in the ring.

He fights better after he is stunned so let's see if it is the same when he is hurt emotionally.

If that doesn't work, well, I wish him well on his retirement and a healthy life. Brilliant Boxer at his best. Shame that was so long ago. But I wouldn't call him #1 of his generation anymore.

I don't buy it. He's 33. He can't afford to take 2 years off. Too much money in the Pacman fight.

There's obviously some funny business going on recently. First you hear from credible figures that the Pac-Floyd fight is close to being made. And now Floyd talks about taking time off. It just doesn't add up. All this soap opera nonsense needs to stop. If they're doing it for sake of hype it is counterproductive because they are gonna lose a lot of boxing fans. At some point a tease becomes a waste of time.

So...according to recent turn of events there's a possibility that we'll get to see Pac fight one last time against a very undeserving Margarito while Floyd goes back into retirement before this year's over? Great. The two best boxers in the world are looking like complete dipshits. If they are going to continue with this kind of behavior I have no interest in them; they might as well leave. Good riddance. I'll look forward to focusing on respectable fighters who are all balls and aren't hesitant about giving the fans what they really want to see.

I wouldn't mind if they both retired after one last fight against each other. That would be respectable. To go out like the aforementioned is despicable and would result in a loss of respect for them.
