It is disgusting when fighters get robbed in the ring like Dwyer was, by courrupt officials. It makes you wonder why you watch the sport, when this happens.

That lanky tosser did virtually nothing all fight, he only won 2 rounds maximum and he was also sparked in the 6th round and lost that round 10-8. Maybe he knew the fix was in.

58-55 to Dwyer was the real scorecard.

There is a dodgy decision somewhere along the card on every show, and it always seems the house fighter gets the nod.

Mickey Vann was the fairest, given that he was often accused of favouring the away fighter.

    al-Hamidi beat Murray
Jon Baguley has been ripped off on a handful of occasions
    Bayaar beat Sexton

    and so on..... :-(

    that costs $$$$$$

there sghouldnt be any need for non title fights to have four officials.

:lol:Yeah, it's not corruption, just incompetence a lot of the time imo. I do think the home fighter/promoter "sway" plays a part though.

I've fallen out of love with this sport, I really cant watch it anymore after last night. It actually makes me really sad to watch someone like Dwyer lose a fight he was never gonna be allowed to win, how do you get yourself up to fight again after being blatantly robbed like that? Dave Parris has helped push me towards this decision as well. I'm still gonna enjoy the classics but I refuse to watch another fight night. No wonder people dont watch boxing anymore with corrupt referees being allowed to officiate every week with no enquiries into the backhanders they are obviously getting from promoters, any other sport there would be an uproar, I'm just so fed up with it.

Given that pretty much every show has more than one referee present I don't think it's too much trouble to give the scoring duties to the other official.

It works alright when a trialist referee is in there, apart from when he looks awkwardly to see if he's about to raise the correct man's arm!

    Referees shouldn't score, full stop.

I've been saying it for years!

sensibly it is pure ****, why is there not an apeal system, that alters it the right way, or makes it no decision, and both fighters must fight again before their alowed to box for any titles.

they need to make officials acoutable for the decisions , have regular meetings and ask them to explain the bad decisions and if the board fells they explanation is a poor one then they get suspended

also i dont know how much money they get but officials are likely open to bribary
