Calzaghe not coming out of retirement

hi everone I would like to see him come back for 1 last fight v Hopkins at the millenium stadium. He had Hopkins worked out by the end of the fight.

 

he has nothing more to prove if your a realist about his acomplishmets but if you regard him as highly as some on here do then hes got a ****ing lot more to pove

He's 37 years old, undefeated over 46 professional fights, won every world title out there and is a 2 weight world champion. He has acheived far more than 99% of british boxers ever have. From that point of view he has **** all to prove mate.

The only ones who he would have something to prove to are his haters and the ones who claim he is the greatest ever. And those two groups don't matter one bit.

 

He will definitely comeback at some point IMHO. He talks about worrying for his health as one of reasons for not coming back, but he wouldn't be flirting with the ruby if that were case.

 

Not a chance for me, he is absolutely obsessed with his 0, he wont come back now and risk it, he wouldnt get enough money from fighting a bum and he wouldnt fight Chad Dawson for example so I cant see it happening.

 

its just Hopkins would sell and its a homecoming that he never had. The Americans think Hopkins beat him the first time if Calzaghe beats him a second time they have nothing else to say. I rate Calzaghe very highly there is no need to fight Froch or Dawson they are a different era in my opinion and wouldn't add nothing. 1 last fight and then done for good.

 

I hope you're right mate. I really think if there were more options available then he would fight on, for example if Chad was a bigger name and brought more money to the table then Joe would fight him.

It would be sad to see him comeback when all his tools have evaporated, which is one of reasons he should do it now while he still has it. I've just got this feeling he'll return.

I know for a fact
most of the haters
would be gutted if he lost
to chad dawson or andre ward
by a shut out
just coz he had being inactive
time to relax champ

so your a realist . i think , then your right and im right he dosent have anything to prove but for the people that regard him so so high its truly unreal then hes got alot to prove
