 Nah homie....the majority of fans not just in the US but world wide support Manny and side with him regarding the accusations that Mayweather and team spread.

That much is obvious being Fighter of the year and decade. Besides.....Manny's country is very poor....it's what "educated" folk would call a third world country where education is mostly available to those with money who don't live in "huts". So to say the ONLY people who support Manny are his fellow countrymen and women is not only untrue but laughable.. That specific demagraphic is just the obvious.

What's not the obvious in terms of supports would be the American public who in most cases would support the american fighter, which is Floyd. But that's not the case which is quite surprising that this unlikely icon is actually neck and neck with an American Born, US Olympian and self proclaimed Boxing's "end all and be all".

Most polls have sided with Manny and most support Manny within the boxing world. And casual fans would not understand why Manny wouldn't take the test for that kind of money but casual fans don't know the dymamics to the situation.

They only have details that give them a surface view of the sitauation. But those or the MAJORITY in the "know"...realize the stance manny has taken has to do with how the demands came about. And they know manny IS willing to take the tests..it's just how close to the actual fight which is the problem.

If anything is going to make this fight fall through it will be this court case.

Out of interest, if they both agreed on drug testing and a purse split but Mayweather wanted this case dropped for the fight to happen but Pacquiao refused, who would you blame for it not happening?

Who are these people in the know?

Also Roach said he had no problem with tests 5 days out, do these people in the know know the situation better than him?

Anyone who has the understanding of the full situation from start to finish, regarding how the demands came about and knowing the details surrounding the requests form BOTH sides during the negotiation process.

ROACH did say 5 days out but not Manny. That's like bringing up Floyd saying he injects his hands with a drug to help with his hands, yet Leonard said HE'S NEVER injected anything into his hands.

You don't go with what a third party says but what the fighter is saying. Manny said 24 days and that was his stance. Floyd's was 14 days AFTER the mediation dropped.

Regarless of all of that.....the fight has not happened simply due to the fact that these olympic style demands came from Floyd which was the only obstacle.

But who are these people that you claim understand the situation and do not sit in either camp?

    It's nothing similar at all.

Roach has said 5 days out will be fine, he knows Pacquiao's training better than anyone and how he is affected by blood testing in the build up to fights so who better to give their opinion on it than him?

Floyd said 14 days before mediation had even started.

They were an obstacle because Pacquiao made them an obstacle, they couldn't have been that much of an obstacle though because he's prepared to accept 14 days out now so it makes you wonder why he was prepared to watch the fight fall through over it last time.

    that's a very short-sighted view

in a previous post, you claim that only those on the inside know what's really happening/happened, then here, you claim that one part of the whole is the problem

the fact is, when negotiating (and no, this does not only matter in boxing) ALL parts are considered

we don't know where the balance is

who knows what would sway floyd on the testing...he gave pac 50/50, and the weight penalty

maybe a different split, or no penalty, would alter the testing demands...we don't know

yes, it was hung up on the testing, but that doesn't mean IT was the big problem

both sides negotiate an entire package for each side, and parts of that package can be changed to make up for disagreements on other parts of the package

I stated that MOST in the know...which are boxing fans who keep up with the situation side with manny. Of course there are some who side with Floyd but the majority are not siding with Floyd but with Manny.

Nothing is similar but showing you that Floyd himself, from his own mouth stated something about his career and everyone believed him. No matter what his best friend and business Manager said.

Manny never said 5 days but his trainer Freddy did say 5 days would be fine...that's not from the horses mouth therefore you can not take that statement as that being what manny wanted.

Floyd did NOT say 14 days before mediation homie.....after mediation passed Floyd said 14 days but at the point they moved on to Josh.

No...the obstacles were there when Floyd made the accusations which set up the demands for the testing...No testing...the fight would have happened in March.

They are taking 14 days now b/c Floyd's leverage this go round in negotiations is strong than it was before based on his PPV buys...NOT b/c Manny likes giving the guy who spread baseless rumors meant to discredit his ring accomplishment and character.

It just shows you manny really wants to make this fight.

I'm not saying nor did I ever say those on the inside...I said those who know the sport of boxing...the true fans...the ones who follow it like chicks follow soaps are the ones who know the details surronding the fight and the negotiations.

Bottom line is casual fans who will make up the VAST majority of the ones buying the fight don't know the situation like the hard core fans do. They don't know Floyd anymore than they know Floyd...but they know that they are the TOP guys in the sport.

So when they get bits and pieces of information that surrounds the fight and why it's taking so long to happen they get a warrped perception of why the fight is not coming off. They either side with Floyd or manny but the truth of the matter is they know very little about the overall situation.

But I do agree with most of what you said Timmy.
