From The Hawk and keep on trucking?

For most power punchers there are fighters that took their best shots at one time or another. Shavers against Cobb is a great example of that.

But did anyone ever manage that against the Hawk? I've seen a good majority of his career and I'm drawing a blank.

McClellan showed a very solid chin in the first fight.

Doesn't fit the description of this thread but it's surprising that Drane didn't go down in the second round because Jackson was absolutely buckling him with his punches:

That was horrible...the referee just saved him from getting put to sleep...his legs weren't even in the ring.

I've not seen it..... but you'd have to assume McCallum took something off him?

He got buckled in round 1, held on, adjusted and avoided Jackson's punches until putting him away in round 2. McCallum had a very good chin but Jackson got to him in the first round. I've heard that McCallum called Jackson the hardest puncher he ever faced which is no surprise.

Not the best quality (at all) but here it is. He did indeed get buckled in that first round (no worse than he did against Curry, though), but outside of that he fought a pretty flawless fight.

Guy could of fought at Cruiserweight, in there with a guy who was a natural 154 pounder. I don't think McClellan deserves a world of credit for it personally.

Jackson is Top 5 best one punch power of all time p4p. Any naysayers? The guy really wasn't that good of a fighter. He just had freakish one punch power. He hit you..your done like dinner.

I'd love to see footage of Jackson's pro debut I have no idea how that guy he fought went to the scorecards

I agree the size difference was big but Jackson landed some solid shots in that fight, and McClellan took them. He's about the only fighter who did.
