Round 4

Oloukun gets a few jabs in as Platov loiters in front of him with a loose guard. Platov just lets them come, and looks for openings to the body...then bangs it. The pattern repeats, Oloukun looking for face jabs, and Platov sticking to the body. Neither is making a defensive adjustment to take this gameplan away from each other. Oloukun loads up on a 1-2 and Platov swats him away with a wide hook.

Oloukun scored some in this round, his best yet, but the harder shots were landed downstairs by Platov.

Round 5

Oloukun still has a willing target for his jab. Platov keeping his hands mostly low in position to attack the midsection of Oloukun, not protecting his face. Platov flurries but everything is blocked. Oloukun adopts a Mayweather stance, and jabs at Platov. They both fall into a lapse, staring one another down. Platov starts a 1-2 and the jab gets in but Oloukun gets his guard up in time to catch the right. A hard right to the body hurts Oloukun. He takes yet another standing eight after YET AGAIN turning his back. Platov tries to finish but looks sloppy. Oloukun finishes on his feet.

Despite the KD being ruled at the end, Oloukun won the round with his jab. That's a tough kind of round to score - is it 9-9? (10-9 to Oloukun, and then a point taken away for being knocked down?)

 

Round 6

Oloukun lands a hook to the chin as Platov telegraphed a 1-2. Platov jabs at Oloukun, then leans away from the counter jab. Platov looking to get back to work on the body. Oloukun keeping him at arm's length, shuffling away and jabbing while moving backwards. Platov fakes Oloukun out with a hook and then begins a right-left-right combination...it only glances the head of Oloukun. 1-2 lands for Oloukun. They exchange jabs. Platov walks him down and pounds him behind the elbow. Oloukun actually goes down to one knee this time and is counted out.
