It's apparent from Floyd Mayweather's behavior over the last several months that he is in fact afraid of the Filipino phenomenon. He should have come out and admitted from Jump street that, "I KNOW that Manny Pacquiao would knock me out within 3 rounds" instead of the PED crapola and other stall tactics. Come on Floyd be honest with the world!

If it is a negotiation tactic, then it's a pretty bad one. If Arum really wanted to fukk up Floyd's legacy, then all he has to do is pull out of the negotiations now and cite that Floyd never really wanted to make the fight. With Floyd's own statement that he intended to rest for 1-2 years, ALL boxing fans and writers (except the truly delusional Floydettes) will put the blame squarely on his shoulders and he will become forever known as the Ducker of the Decade.

People actually believe Floyd is going to retire/take two years off?

    Seriously?

*****s keep on harping about the past, when the issue facing them in the face right now is their idol stating very clearly that he wants to rest for 1-2 years. Talk about being in denial.

I can tell you right now that Arum is salivating at the chance to use Floyd's retirement ploy against him by pulling out of the negotiations and claiming that Floyd never really wanted to make the fight. This would **** on floyd's legacy forever and he would be known by everyone as the Ducker of the Decade, while Arum makes more money by having Pac fight Margarito, Cotto or Foreman.

He's also said a lot of things as well, are you going to believe him about everything else he said?

    Don't be stupid.

I don't believe him, he was far from pressing for a knock out.

It's either you believe him or you don't, you can't have it both ways. He's always been a lying, conniving, jealous ***** in my eyes. The question is, do you also see him that way? If not, then why can't you accept the very words coming out of his mouth saying that he wants to retire, especially since he did the same thing in the past?

Perfect example of a ***** believing what he wants to believe despite facts to the contrary. Who's stupid now? :yep
