**** it, let's have a pre-fight thread on something other than what we're waiting for to keep the time kicking over. A lot of fighters split fans, but some fighters are lucky enough to have pretty consistent admiration amongst fans for a whole host of different reasons. Which fighters can you think of who fans hardly ever have a bad word about and who commands the respect of the masses? What reasons can you give for this fighter being popular? I'll start with Cotto. I can't think of another fighter today who is as universally liked as him; he's exciting, he'll fight anyone and he's respectful. Any others?:think:good
Sugar Shane Mosley should be, but somehow isn't . Maybe the drugs thing? Everyone loves Andrade, hard to find someone with a bad word to say about him.
Michael Katsidas Juan Manuel Marquez Pongsaklek Wonjongkam Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym EDIT: did you like how the names got gradually bigger?
I think Sergio Martinez is well on the way to that, haven't heard a bad word said about him especially post- Williams
JMM just a great pro a great man and a briliant exciting fighter also SRL(not curent i know) great man great boxer also met him and is just amazing i was in ore of the man
Fanny Cotto was who I first thought of, especially on the Brit forum. Everyone also seems to love Nigel Benn
Mikkel Kessler is up there. Nigel Benn from the past. In 2 years of being on the Brit forum I haven't read a bad word said about him - even some American's like him :yep
Tomas Adamek is well respected. Fights anyone, crowd pleasing style and pretty 'humble' (not sure if that's the right word).
Yeah, we'll never know if his account of his involvement with Conte is entirely truthful. As an aside, Christina Hendricks is quite possibly the most beautiful woman on the planet. Absolutely stunning. STFU, fanny. Everyone does like Katsidis, though. Good shout. Very classy guy inside the ring and out. JMM is by far my favourite fighter, but I didn't consider him as a lot of the Pacquiao huggers are always talking **** about him as he pasted Pac not once, but twice:yep.
