I watched the whole fight and also saw the brawl, I guess after the fight, the Russians were trying to actually take a picture of the scorecards immediately to try to have nothing switched or rewritten hence the reason for the fight.
I personally scored it 115-113 for Karmazin, it was actually a decent scrap, both fighters were showing a good jab, sylvestres harder. Karmazin actually was controlling the tempo with his jab and left hooks. Karmazin Slowed down a bit in rounds 9 10 and 11 but won the 12th.

****ing disgrace. only because sylvester is german. you could see little sauerland talking bull**** to the judges. clear win for karamazin, 116-112
sylvester did nothing the whole fight, 2 jabs and one right every round. and karamazin outboxed him beautifuly, and landed the better shots.
it's a ****ing disgrace again. BIG ROBBERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't see the fight, but fightnews.com scored it for sylvester 116-113,
so it sounds like a draw was in order. Made in hell did better than I thought he would, and will be in line for other fights because of it.

Draw or close win for Karmazin. Rematch should be mandatory.

No. According to IBF rules there are no even rounds. One judge, the one who had it 114-114 in the end, had an even round. Somebody complained, somebody disagreed and they fought.

    Sounds about right.

Nah, Sylvester landed the harder shots, Karmazin landed more. Depends completly on what you like. The Canadian got it right. Draw.

    No.

Yop, that's it. The technical director of Sauerland said shortly after the fight, one judge had a 114-113 scoring including an even round (my comment: that's not possible) - and even rounds are not allowed by the rules of IBF.

The explanation is absolutely bull****. According to the rules it is possible to score a round 10 - 10. And take a closer look: 118-111 in favour of Sylvester is including an even round also. So what?

The Karmazin-Guy wanted to take some pictures and the security (i guess) got really harsh on him. In my opinion this was no controversial decision. They changed Karmazin's SD into a draw.

how can you put these things together?
the Canadien must have scored one round 9-9 then :huh
and they changed it to 10-9 in favor of Sylvester instead to 10-10 what would have made Karmazin winning 115-114 :think

posted my on card on page 2, had it 114-114 even and i´d have loved to see Karmazin winning. he tried his best but sadly he was way to ineffective. If they scored it 115-113 116-112 Sylvester i wouldnt complain either.
Read a bit in that rbr thread and it looks like there are some guys around who counted all night how often Karmazin touched Sylvester gloves in order to complain after the fight that the judges wont appreciate because the fight was being held in Germany. Very disgusting. Karmazin didnt win that fight its just the controversial official scorecards. However if the had given Karmazin the belt Sylvester would have been a bit robbed in his backyard.

I've to admit that this was a robbery. Karmazin should've won the fight. This time it is okay to bash Sauerland.

Right, 10-10 but 114-113 is not possible with a 10-10 round. :good

    :good

There are quite a few guys on here who just like hating on German boxing, mostly English. Inferiority complex I think.

btw. like I said in the Euro-forum, there should be a rematch.

    By the way

    judge: Matthew Podgorski 111-117
    judge: John Lawson 118-111

Both are from the glorious US of A

The 114-114 judge was the only one that scored about right...
