    Pathetic....

Just Kidding... He looked really good in there. I still think it's too early to declare he's "back" or anything, but this is definitely a good start for him. Hopefully he'll step up the competition next fight. I know this dude :yep who said he would ****ing go to San Juan and fight him if he would just sign the Gotdayum contract. :good

I think he looked great. If he goes down to 147 once again keeping that jab and that footwork along with Steward, we may have Miguel Cotto back!

Well, to be fair, I think Cotto could have taken that one anyway. But you never know. I think if he fights someone who can pressure him late in the fight, he will fold... kinda like Lebron James in the final minutes...

I still think Petey turns him into a lawn chair.:good

LOL you know i never thought Cotto was shot but I didn't expect him to carry his power like that and he did seem to have improved balance cause from what I remembered the old Cotto would throw his amazing jab but then look like a deer in headlights but in this fight he was throwing his jab and right back in position which was a HUGE improvement unless I'm wrong and underestimated him all along.

He is too small for 154, he needs to go back to 147 and take out Berto to prove he is back, other than that he is just beating paper champs. I know he isn't going to fight Paul Williams or Martinez. Probably won't fight Dzerwhateverthe****, Angulo, or Kirkland( when he gets out), so there is no reason to stay and get beat worse than he did by Margo, Clottey, and Pac.

 i was about to go off before i saw the bottom part  :good

Glad youre able to give some props, i agree.... nobody should be getting ahead of themselves, but Cotto looked pretty decent and got a decent win in his first fight in a new weightclass.

There is no comparison to the hate that comes out of you, Cotto was dominating the rabbi with two legs and you know it. You are in Miami so we should spar sometime. See if you are this much of a ***** in person too.

:rofl at the title. Cotto was outboxing him before the injury and I was impressed. Foreman is a true warrior.

Cotto will still win even with a healthy Foreman. Just accept that you picked the wrong fighter to win. I also picked the wrong fighter but unlike you, I don't insult those who picked the other fighter.

I saw the thread title and came in here ready to tear you a new ******* if you were serious.

Yeah, he looked good. So much for all those 'experts' around here who were certain Foreman was 'all wrong for him'.

Actually, I think he carried his power @ 154. And his footwork was great against a very fast fighter, also did a good job blocking/slipping punches. I was impressed by the footwork and the fact he stuck to the game plan without changing a thing, no matter the conditions (Foreman lunging in trying to land some combos, or Foreman being there for the kill after the injury). Took his time, and had the job done. Basically, he outboxed the boxer. I only gave Yuri the 4th round.

That said, he would still be the underdog vs the elite punchers in this division. Guys like Cintron, Angulo and Williams would give him all kinds of trouble and probably beat him. Still, he showed he has a lot left in the tank and could make some exciting fights in the future.

I also thought he improved his balance. And I also liked the peek-a-boo defense he sometimes used, his guard was more tight than before.
