Who thinks Foreman would have made the final bell if he didn't injure himself?

Not sure...

He got wobbled by jabs, but the cotto jab is more of a power punch...and then he got dropped by a body shot...

I lean towards a stoppage...

 

If Cotto could have maintained the pressure it looked to me as if the stoppage as likely,

 

I think the body shot that finally ended it would have caused Foreman to go down regardless of whether he was injured or not. I also think it lands because Foreman was in survival mode anyhow, he slipped and hurt his leg because he had no idea what to do or where to move...all he knew is that he didn't want to be in range for Cotto's jab and nasty hooks.

...It's conceivable he could have lasted the distance...he wouldn't have been winning any rounds.

 

Cotto never corneered him or put together a string of punches never softened the body or showed killer instinct and Foreman was not gonna stay in front or fight it was going the distance it seemed it was Cotto's strategy who never seemed to try and finish the guy just get confidence and win rounds

 

Stoppage around ninth or tenth. Foreman was becoming offensive and landing more shots as his momentum shifted a bit with a few right hands, but long-term that kind of planted trading would have favored miguel and allowed some really punishing shots to take their toll late.

 

miguel was getting closer and closer with his money punch regardless of the injury.

cause if u have, cotto did very well at cutting the ring off against foreman, and u should know that. its actually a non debatable issue.

 

The majority of those were headshots which I felt Foreman did okay at taking at times, but you'd have to think Foreman would have slowed down eventually anyway...and you'd also have to think he'd be shipping more body punches, which is what eventually ended the fight. A warrior though...is Yuri.

I still think Cotto would probably stop him anyway, though. Have to keep in mind that after the injury, Foreman concentrated a lot more on defense, so he expected more punches to come at him.

 

He would've made it the distance. Cotto only started teeing off once his knee got shredded.

 

he never trapped him long enough to stop him sure he could cut him off but he never trapped him in a corner or on the ropes and mauled him

Why would he? He was dominating proceedings with his jab and counter hooks. People pretend like Cotto used to be an absolute destroyer but even in the old days, although more aggressive and therefore an easier target to hit, he still broke down fighters over the distance. Yuri was being broken down, running for dear life in some instances, we're criticizing Cotto for not getting his track suit on and mauling him in the corner with wide, swinging punches? He stayed disciplined and won every round but one on my card.
