No disrespect to Lennox but Roy just knows his stuff, speaks his mind and is not as uncomfortable as Lewis seems. Lewis has always seemed uncomfortable speaking. I loved it when Jim said that Foreman had "found something" when he was getting aggessive and Roy said "Yeah, he found that he is fighting for his life and if he don't do something soon he will be on his back." ****ING GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also he had the prior fight NAILED with Greene's problems and predicted what was going to happen. It was good.:good

big roy fan. have been my whole life and i do enjoy listening to his take on things. i will say though, that it seemed the rest of the guys were making an effort (especially lampley) of deferring to him to describe what was going on and why and what can be done in response, etc.

I liked the commentary chemistry between jim, roy, and max. Not gonna lie, jim is kinda annoying though.

I thought all three were great last night.

Also, that Larry Merchant piece was outstanding. Great night all around.

  5. Roy did do a great job last night. I really hope people around him tell him how great he was, too, so he ****ing retires from boxing and focuses on something he can still be good at.

Still don't like Roy - he's a younger Manny Steward....Speaks in tongues, and mumbles all the time. HBO just can't get it right..The only tolerable for one me EVER has been Jim Lampley. Hate Kellerman, hated Big George, can't stand Lennox, don't like Steward, and I wish Larry Merchant would go away....

Why don't you apply for a job and commentate if you think you can do better. Try not to be so negative dude.

They were all great last night! Lamps color was good, Roy's fighter perspective, and Max's history and anecdotes were all spot on. This should be their A-team. Merchant should be demoted to the non-ppv events. I love Merchant! I grew up listening to Larry, but he is way past his prime.

I don't like Lampley. He's a cheerleader. Makes tons of mistakes in his punch by punch descriptions.

I used to hate him too, because he's full of **** when it comes to boxing basically. He grew on me over the years though.

Man Big George was the best of them all. In fact when WK was blitzed by Sanders,(While Lampley and Merchant were declaring his career over) Big George almost prophetic stated that Wladimir would come back and be a dominate HW Champion. George could see it in him because he had been there and knows talent. George nailed it, look at Wlad now. Even ROY after his lost to Brewster suggested Wlad retire because he was done. Oh look how the tables turned on RJJ after making fun of Wlads chin........getting KTFO twice in a row and his career bottoming while Wlad was creeping on a come up and is THE top dawg now. I loved Big George.:huh
