When comparing and contrasting the career of these two fighters, what are your thoughts?

Odd question to me, as I never thought about them as being similar in any way. ???

    Odd reply to me,

They are both lefties who fight orthodox. They have held the same belt, fought in the same weight classes, have a similar level of proffesional achivement, and a similar crowd pleasing style.

Well no, they don't. But I get the lefties issue at least. Not much to go on. An awful lot of fighters have the same belts in common.

:huh Uhhh, one is a lot better than the other. Oscar better than Cotto that is. That's the only comparison I can give you between the two.

They are both very similar in my opinion. They both rely on the jab and left hook, although oscar had a better right hand imo. They both try and fail with the shoulder roll. They both look very similar when they fight backwards, both do tend to square up and do that little latin bounce when they're outside of harms way, and then reset. This may be a bit of a stretch, but Cotto in the first 5 rounds of the Margorito fight reminded me of Oscar in the first half of the Trinidad fight.

They're both probably about the same percentage of water.

I'm not happy with these mocking replies. As I've already said, there are numerous parallels between the two fighters, both in their careers, accomplishments and also in their style of fighting, if you don't see those parallels, or all you can say is obvious **** like "one is better than the other" don't bother posting. Cucking unimaginative Funts!

Oscar is a much, much better stick-and-move boxer than Cotto is. :deal

I'll put it to you this way.. Oscar was outboxing the ears off Tito Trinidad. Cotto on the other hand, wouldn't make it past the middle rounds versus a prime Tito.

You get the mocking replies because you picked a **** comparison of fighters. You pick ****, you get **** in return.

That may be so, but I think it stems from more reasons than just Oscar being the superior boxer. It has more to do with Oscar having by far the better chin. Also, Oscar being 5'10.5" and having good reach, while Cotto being about 3 inches shorter and having stubby arms. It's rather hard to outbox someone as tall as Trinidad being that short.
