Vlad offered Haye 50-50 purse split, no options on future fights, etc.

I'm a Haye fan and my impression is this...

Haye had no belt and was desperate to get a shot at the Klitchko's to break into the top rankings at heavyweight. He wanted the fast route to the top and didnt wanna pay his dues like most fighters...so he opened his mouth and spouted off. He challenges them quite aggressively to try n provoke them to say yes.

Now he got an easier fight in Valuev he changed his path...he know has a belt. He is now no longer desperate to fight them now they are calling him out. This is the biggest fight out there for Haye against either Klitschko. Seems the roles have reversed. Wlad has called Haye out and so far not a peep from him. Why??? I'll tell you why...he's got a belt now and has to consider the risk - 1 big payday against Wlad or Vitali and the risk of getting KO'd against the prospect of milking his WBA Strap with easy defenses against poor old past their sell by date opposition.

This is ALL ABOUT MONEY. They're assessing if the Have vs either Klitschko = more money

than

first having 2 or 3 easy defenses against lesser (safer) opposition then maybe go for a Klit and if that goes tits up then call it a day and be several millions richer. Haye is quite young and already talking of retirement...so you know why that is - $$$$ get enough money to set him up for life and out. Its nothing to do with "the fans". Right now his silence speaks volumes. Sure he's got a baby on the way very soon and fair enough give the man some space to enjoy this time...but to remain totally silent after Wlad calling him out seems to me that he's not so **** sure of his ability after all. And looking at how scared he fought Valuev you just know how much more scared he would be of the Klitschkos punch power!

maybe on the face of it that is the better move from a business mans point of view?? Dont think what the fans wants ever comes into it cos it really doesnt. Its all about the money with 99% of boxers. You only have to look at how money dictates our sport. Politics in boxing is all money related.

Haye does not even deserve 50-50. That shows you how bad the Klitschkos want to kick his a$$! Haye is looking more and more like a scared roided up freak the longer time goes on without fighting the Klitschkos.

 

All the talk only serves for one reason: publicity and I am sure you agree with me that this actually worked out.

That does not mean that Haye has to fight the Klits now at all. From a business standpoint, it understandable to wait and fight Wlad later. It is really not that relevant that some hardcore fans are disappointed in him.Haye will be looking what is best for him and that is in my view cleatly fighting Adamek and Toney, gaining experience and then fighting Wlad in an even bigger event down the road.

 

The Haye camp have said that they have been speaking with the Klit camp.

I have seen no proof of that offer and find it hard to believe the Klits would offer such a clean deal.

When the full story comes out (which likely it never will) then we will know.

I still think a Klit fight will happen with Hayes next two fights.

 

Most poeple get that point, but I´m a sport fan first not interested in Haye the mighty business man.

There's no evidence that he has turned down any such offer, so I'll reserve judgement till I know what is going on.

 

The cut off date has passed now for Wlad and Haye to arrange a fight. According to the arrangement, Wlad must now fight his mandatory. Refusing to reply is the same as refusing the offer.

 

Word and deed are entirely different things. K2 can say whatever they want about what they have discussed, but until it's a verified offer on the table, with agreed terms and a contract to sign, they are pissing in the rain for all it means.

I don't see how. It was a long time ago they went into negotiations. If the cut off date passed, why would they even continue negotiations?

 

Once again I have seen no evidence of this offer? And why if it is so reasonable, did they not release the details of it before the cut off. Then Haye would have nowhere to go!!!

 

Apparently, the specifics cannot be legally released (according to someone who claims to be in the know, but could equally be full of ****).

I don't know why you are giving Haye the benefit of the doubt mate. It pretty clear Haye wants no part of him (for now at least). Why would Booth come out and say they wanted Vitali and not Wlad then. You seem to be clutching at straws.
