Margacheato hadn't done **** to deserve a fight wit Floyd, all he did was talk about being "the most feared figther" while ducking Winky and trying to duck Paul Williams, Margacheato aside from his win over Cotto has done nothing of note, and was nothing more than a fraud.

Your not looking at it from three years ago, because three years ago Margarito was the most feared fighter at Welterweight along with Paul Williams who Floyd never and will not face either. No matter what way the arguement is twisted circa 2006 Margarito was much more highly regarded than Zab Judah.

I used to think Floyd ducked Marg but Baldomir did have a title and beat Zab & Gatti so I can't blame Floyd for fighting Baldomir.

When 147 was screaming hot mayweather retired. After it cooled off considerably he came back. Do the math. It's not a difficult equation.

Yea..the ones who say floyd ducked him dont mention the entire story.

In reality floyd was going after shane mosley in for the november 2006 date.....u know? The guy who beat tony up for 9 rounds before brutally knocking him out and making him look very average!

Yea floyd was trying to fight him....lmfao..what is there to be scared of inside of a boxing ring when your fighting a guy who crosses his feet, doesn't slip punches, never was taught how to "catch" a punch, and has some of the worst footwork i've ever seen....

When Mayweather came back there were welterweights occupying the top three positions in the P4P list and another in the top ten = 'cooled off considerably'?

Look at Pacquiao all shook at the 9:20 mark, lmao!

Lampley and Steward said Pacquiao was going to duck Raheem and he wanted no parts of Raheem at the end of this fight.

    Cotto stopped by Margarito

    Mosely beaten by Cotto

    Margo stopped by Mosely

    Margo suspended

    Clottey beaten by Cotto

    Williams at 154-160

There is no way you can defend pbf without humiliating yourself.

Welterweight division when Mayweather left. Top five without Floyd:

    Cotto (P4p no 7)
    Williams
    Mosley
    Margarito
    Judah

Welterweight division that Mayweather returned to:

    Mosley (P4P no 3)
    Pacquiao (P4P no 1)
    Cotto (P4P top ten?)
    Clottey
    Berto

I don't think he neccisarily ducked him because he wouldn't have made as much money for fighting him. Of course I think Mayweather would beat Margarito handily but I still found it extremely dissapointing because I think it would have been a very entertaining fight and I think that's what upsets the fans. Throughout his career there have been a lot of fights that Mayweather didn't need to take but could've been fantastic fights.

Yes he did. He cried in an interview when pressure to fight Margo was placed on him.

Anyone who thinks PBF ducked a limited cheat like Margo is kidding themselves. That windmill wouldn't have hit PBF with radar. PBF would have teed off on that plodder with every punch in the book and be gone before that plodder could even answer, it would have been hilarious to watch. PBF would have landed on Margo like rain on a tin roof and would have set the compubox record for accuracy in that fight.:deal

Margo was nothing more than a tool used by Arum and PBF haters as a way to try and discredit him nothing more nothing less. If PBF would have fought Margo instead of Baldo people would have been saying PBF ducked the linear champ at 147 to fight a bum.
