Surprising open letter from WBA LWW champ Marcos Maidana - talks Bradley, troubles

I think it was some, clearly too subtle, sarcasm, dude.

 

Only partially. If Amir Khan had won an interim championship, then released a letter referring to himself as champion, and saying that he'd turned down a fight against Bradley for not enough money, this thread would be thirty pages of him being called a ducker. Some get passes, some don't.

 

He's clearly being robbed by his manager. The guy is misrepresenting the actual amount and pocketing 2/3 of Maidana's real purse. Maidana should beat his head in.

 

would love to hear an official release from Manny Pacquiao regarding HIS situation.

letter just shows that boxers don't have a lot of control of the things going on behind the scene.

Sucks for Maidana. I think he should be getting paid EVERY Penny that he feels he deserves. As do all boxers. (except Floyd)

Maidana clearly didn't write this letter. How do we know we're not being fed lies here?

 

thats some bad ****. his managers obviously been ****in him over for years. his managers not the one who risks his life in the ring, the slimey piece of ****!!!

 

I work with contracts and relatively large numbers on a regular basis. I know there are sharks out there, but at some point common sense should rule the day. If he's fighting and not getting paid properly, where's the money going? Contracts he didn't sign, who did?

 

Why should we assume he's lying?

I never said we should. I said I don't believe Maidana wrote that letter. With that being said, it's fair to question the accuracy of some of those claims.

Absolutely 100% correct.
We would have 30 pages of the usual characters slagging Khan left right and center.
Can anyone really claim there is'nt some odd bias against Khan when Maidana's very obvious and clear ducking barely even rates a response from posters...
