Put Yourself in both fighters shoe's ???????

    IF you were floyd .....

    Q. would you risk your career / yearly incomings in and out of boxing /
undefeated record against a fighter who has struggled and took a
beating of smaller lesser fighters but fights bigger stronger elite
fighters and takes there best shots walks thru them with an ease he
has never shown in 51 previous fights. OR
would you ask for more detailed drug testing ?

    IF you were Manny .....

    Q. Your in the best shape of your career , your slicing through the top
guys and your on the best roll of your career.
would you turn down your biggest pay day and a fight that win or lose
would make you a legend of the sport ?
then would you take on a still risky fight for a lot less money
and have your public doubt your honesty by your strange unexpected
    reaction to allegations.
then retire with your fans wonder on your legacy ?

I doubt Mayweather compares what he done to the likes of Baldomir and Hatton with what Pacquiao did with Clottey and Hatton because they have completely different styles, Mayweather was never going to unload on Baldomir or try to push him around the ring because that's just not the way he goes about things.

I'll tell you what fight made Mayweather suspicious of Pacquiao and that was Floyd's fight with Marquez, after he beat him comfortably he would have been scratching his head as to why Pacquiao could move up so comfortably while Marquez couldn't and off the top of his head he couldn't think of another boxer that jumped up that many weight classes so quickly while improving either, so the obvious answer to that is he could have been using some kind of enhancer, that's not to say he was of course but it's a possibility that Mayweather and those around him had thought about so they decide to ask for stronger testing to make sure it's a fair fight.

Pacquiao's refusal at the time to take the stronger tests they wanted and the flow of contradictions and excuses that followed would have made that small doubt in Floyd's mind grow until he was convinced that Pac was cheating and there was no way they were going to back out of the tests now.

So no I don't think Floyd is scared however he has strong doubts about Pacquiao cheating, which is why he wants to make sure the fight is as fair as he can be sure it will be.

Its not about the styles of the fighters, it was about his limitations physically that has him concerned. You have to look at it from mayweather's point of view. Of course we know that mayweather doesnt neccesarily have the style to fight baldo and hatton like pacquiao would but that isnt the point. Mayweather great success is down in some part to his own unrellenting beleif that he is the greatest fighter currently and nobody can out-dominate an opponent like he can. When someone like pacquiao comes even close to replicating his success he feels challenged. In his mind he sees this fighter who is smaller than he is, and less skillful than him rivalling and some would argue surpassing his own accomplishments. Thats why i believe he is demanding the random drug testing.

The mexican trio are all a level or two above skills wise than the fighters pacquiao has faced since moving up. EM with his granite chin and iron will (not to mention having a massive reach advantage over pac), MAB with his general all round solidity, JMM the consumate boxer puncher (the perfect style to fight manny). Sure EM gave Pacquiao a beating but pacquiao took that beating and came back stronger and better.

I'm a Floyd fan and I dunno about you guys, but it has always been clear that he wants Pac the test because he doesn't think someone is capable of achieving what he has done. Therefor, he IS impressed by his performance. Hence, the reason for the testing... I don't know why you try to keep making this point since everybody already knows it.

Pac's progress is unlike anything else boxing has seen. A fighter that at his high 40's fights in his carreer all of a sudden starts going up in weightclasses becomig faster, with higher punch output, much stronger and starts defeating much stronger opposition in a convincing fashion... It just doesn't make sense...

And please don't start saying that he has never been caught doing it and all that other nonsense, because even Mosley had used PED's and got caught because of the balco case. If not, he would've never got caught.

His weight hasn't technically gone up since he's always weighed 140+ on fight night. If you look at the actual fight night weights, that theory that he's gained weight and not lost anything becomes pure hyperbole. In other words more alt account bull****.

I love how you *******s say blood testing takes Pac below 100%, but Mayweather is fine even though he is doing the EXACT SAME TESTING! It boggles the mind!

Yep. If pacquiao was getting his ass kicked at the higher weights, floyds or anyone else would not have taken up the issue of enhanced drug testing. Its because pacquiao is rivalling and some would argue surpassing mayweather's accomplishments with less size and supposedly less skill, that mayweather is amazed at.

It makes perfect sense. The purpose of cheating is to win. When you start winning too much people wonder if you are cheating. If you are asked to test and you refuse? People pretty much have their answer. :deal

Exactly, mayweather is clearly amazed by the performances from pacquiao to suggest what he is doing, cannot be done by any man without artificial enhancement.

Everyone is amazed. It literally doesn't make sense. He is the only fighter in history, that I know of, who's goes up in weight class and INCREASES his KO%. It is questionable.

So take the tests Manny and show the world.

Trinidad was more devastating above 147 as Cotto is since he left 140. There is plenty of example like that. Sometime when you're draining yourself to make weight you just get better when you go up in weight.

Another point is that Pacman as faced lesser opposition since he left 130. P4p, Morales, Barrera and Marquez are heads and shoulder above Hatton and DLH(at this stage of his carrer).
