Some one give me a good reasonable explanation why Pac faught DLH and Cotto at a catch weight and not the welter weight limit but he faught Clottey at the welter weight limit.

Pac fought Oscar at the WW limit, but Oscar weighed in at 145 of his own accord.

    Pac weighed in at 142.

Against Cotto, Pac was moving up from JrWW, so it wouldn't be a fair fight if it was at 147 and Pac had to move up 7 pounds and Cotto not give up anything. So Pac moved up 5 and Cotto down 2.

Cotto looked ok, but a 10 year old could of beaten DLH that night.

Would it have made a difference if Cotto had come in at 147 for the fight between him and Pac?

If Cotto wants to be a WW champion and fight a JrWW, he should be ready to defend his title at a catchweight. If he wants to defend his title at 147, he should fight someone his own size.

And anyways if you don't think it would make a difference, then what's the problem?

    Interesting statement, sounds really defensive.

Pac was able to dictate his terms on Dela Hoya? The fight being at 154 would seem more of a farce that what it already was.

Cotto was fine, nothing wrong what so ever. The man was moving and throwing from the first bell to the stopage, it was Mannys work rate that kept him quiet for spells.

As for Oscar there's a whole interview with Roach at the scene where even he says he expects Oscar to come in at 160. From what I've read from various sources Oscars camp was one big cluster ****. The only person that's denied this is Hoyas conditioning coach covering his ass.

Oscar fought Forbes at 150 and was planning on having a rematch with Floyd at 147 anyway. Hoya was already going to 147 and was supposedly gonna bring alot of heat to the division with him and Shane moving back down from 154... He sacrificed size for what he though would mean speed... He was wrong..

    DLH wasn't a catchweight

Cotto fought at 145 several times prior, and was 146 in his previous bout. He said himself he felt great at the weight.
