well if you guys could understand the audio on the video you'll see why people dont like him that much.. first he's not personable and second if you hear his answers they are short and to the point and they might come across as arrogant, it even give the impression that he gets annoyed by the questions like they are stupid questions.. one question was who was he going to fight next and who they were thinking about.. and his answer was "nobody that doesn't happens in a few hours it takes a lot of time" but the tone was like are you stupid for asking that question.. i dont know i spoken to him a couple of times when i worked at the airport and he seemed ok and humble but private.. other peoples experience with him was different.. plus when i talked to him he was alone with nobody around so he was more himself and comfortable to talk i guess

It's the losses man. If Tito was to fight today he would receive a similar reception in PR. When Cotto beat Judah and Mosley he was received much better. Now that he lost twice they are on to the next big thing down there.

Tito always had a heros welcome even after the losses.. not like after the DLH fight but always a few hundred people go to pick him up.. unlike cotto.. he always had a hard time relating to the people

Cotto has a lot more fans back here in the UK and worldwide than Lopez i'd think. I for one couldn't make his arrival in Puerto Rico, for obvious reasons, but if his natives don't appreciate him the UK could do with an upstanding warrior such as himself as a boxing representative!

Cotto seems like an introverted person. They usually DON'T want all the attention even if it can be had.

Agreed. That man fights anyone. I don't know how they wouldn't be proud as hell of him. At least he gets major love in the Big Apple.

Puerto Rico is going through a drought of top level real talent, and even then they don't support Cotto. LOL. Oh well, people say he is an ******* and alcoholic so he probably deserves the lack of attention.

I think Cotto prefers it that way anyways.

Cintron is currently the best Puerto Rican fighter anyways. He would beat the **** out of Cotto.
