All fair points. I however don't agree that Cotto should be Pac's plan-B over Margarito simply because it's not as marketable of a fight. The casuals, who by in large, picked Pac over Cotto in their first fight would have a hard time accepting the creditability of a rematch after such a one-sided beatdown. Margarito at least is a fresh contender to Pac and has a noteworthy name (mainly because of the wraps scandal) that casual fans would be intrigued by.

margarito is a disgrace to the mexican boxing legacy. Trying to cheat to gain an advantage rather than go in there all man/warrior and do his thing. For that alone he should never fight in the states again. Also not much of a warrior calling out someone who he beat brutally rather than someone who beat his ass from pillar to post in shane mosley. The guy is looking for a big payday and desperately so. Or better yet, why not call out PW or SM at middleweight for all the marbles. Probably b/c he knows he'd get his ass kicked this time around.

I'd be satisfied if Cotto just beats Margacheato's AZZ at the weigh in, gets fined, and they cancel the fight. That's good enough for me.

Or at least spell his name right... Cotto, no e at the end. C-O-T-T-O.

While you're at it, if you think of it logistically... he fights Margarito for "cheating" he still rewards him with at least a million dollar pay day even with an 80-20 split.

That seems like a pretty nice gift you're giving to someone, beating or not...

Considering Margo has a great beard too, can't see much revenge...

To me, revenge is not worth my pride.... however, if you would like to sell yours be my guest.

Interesting. Maybe the best fate for Margarito is to fight in obscurity in Mexico for the rest of his career...

I'd still like to see Cotto drop a cinder block on his head though.

Thank u but I just think he's messing with Cotto fans. If Margo is so bad then let him fight at 154 and 160 all the time since that is where he should be fighting considering his size. No he gets famous for fighting a guy who is 5 foot 7 and with a 67 inch reach.

Tell him to fight top of the line fighters from 140 to 147. Don't tell me that SM is his best fight ever when Cotto fought him years ago.

Mayweather picks his fights also. He waited until Mosley hadn't fought in a year and was almost 40 to challenge him, so don't try to make it sound so HBO. Like it was the most exciting fight in the last 20 years.
