If David Haye fights Audley Harrison I will lose all respect for him.

Harrison doesn't cut it for me either. It has to be a top contender or Klitschko.

    i agree with rob's sentiment.

it would be okay for him to fight audley if he hadnt spent such a long time calling out the klits and saying he is only fighting for his legacy. the big money has changed him if this comes off. strange thing money - the more you get the more you want.

i have clearly said if there is no 50-50 offer they need to communicate that to the public.

Given that the 50-50 offer is unsubstantiated to go on to say what a great offer it is and that Haye should retire if he doesn't take it is jumping the gun more than a little bit.

The last 2 paragraphs in your post are ultimatums based entirely on an offer that you don't even know exists.

The least you can do before demanding that Haye retires if he doesn't do your bidding is to a) confirm the 50-50/ no options offer is genuine and b) wait until he actually signs to fight Harrision.

    This:deal

It's getting a bit like the general here.

I have seen no offers so I do not believe.

I actually take Haye's silence as a sign that they are negotiating but perhaps I am the only one!!!

    Two points...

At a time when boxing is struggling to get anything like the publicity it should do (and used to) don't you think that the hype this fight would generate would be good business for boxing in this country? Sure, most people who know their boxing know that Audley gets terminated off Haye, but it would be the most hyped domestic fight in years and let's face it, boxing could use the publicity. Hardcore boxing fans may not buy into the hype, but I bet they (including the likes of Rob etc) will be watching it come fight night. It will generate big ppv £££ and also plenty of column inches - Haye can fight a Klitschko afterwards can he not?

Secondly, doesn't Haye deserve a break? Would he be the first champion to take advantage of his status and earn big bucks from a straightforward night's work? He's fought the best at cruiser for years, went to Paris to fight Mormeck, went to Germany to fight Valuev and in Ruiz and Barrett (although well past it) he's fought two better opponents than Harrison has ever been in with. He's earned the right to have fights like these between the real tests.

Big hype for boxing, Haye wins easy, Harrison gets KTFO...what's not to like :D

Don't you find it hypocritical to blindly believe Haye's claims of "slave contracts" which has been relentlessly used as a defense for Haye avoiding Vitali but remain skeptical when the claims do not suit your argument?

Bollocks, what Haye has done (if he does not fight a Klit next) represents all that is wrong with boxing today.

Ah well, I can take it! Bring on the keyboard punches!!

Anyway, the fight hasn't even been made yet so it's pure speculation.

Yes. If Haye's camp don't deny the offer then surely it's reasonable to assume it's true.

If Haye wants to wait till the brothers are 50 till he will fight them then I don't mind him fighting Audley. At least the build-up will be a laugh.

Not really. They both what they are, claims made by one side against the other and shouldn't be treated as facts.

That said, Hayes isn't the only HW to complain about the purses/ options demanded by the Klits.
