He said he was retiring before he faced Delahoya, was he telling the truth them?

Maybe Mayweather is playing hard to get, maybe he wants to retire or take time out but wants the paydays, maybe hes just retiring with the $40m from the Mosley fight

FLoyd said he was retiring before facing oscar. Did he? NOPE
He said he was retiring after he fought Delahoya. Did he Nope?
I dont remember him saying he was retiring after fighting hatton but he ****ing held a NEWS CONFERENCE announcing he was retiring, and he left. I guarantee when floyd retires he will hold an actual news conference like any other boxer who is a top dog.

I now understand why so many call this forum weak and bs like..

seems like HBO and Golden Boy may be pressuring floyd to take the fight. and floyd being the scared coward that he is, is using the retirement card to escape his destruction.

HBO and Golden boy have apparently had enough of lil boy floyd and his act.

there will be harsh consequences for lil boy floyd if he fake retires again, you can BE SURE OF THAT

    height advantage
    reach advantage
    ring IQ advantage
    possibly speed advantage
    footwork advantage
    defense advantage

he has many many advantages so he needs to quit ****ing about and sign the damn contract and get this **** on. I cant see him pulling a ***** move and retiring AGAIN but than again, you never know with the guy.

the boxing powers will be shall we say very pissed off if floyd runs away from the Pacquiao fihgt. you really have to know how much will go down the drain if floyd ducks the fihgt.

the powers invested a lot of time and money to make floyd the cash cow, now they want their payoff.

Having the reach advantage isnt really a big advantage if the other fighter knows how to stay small and work his way inside which Manny does that very well.
Ring IQ? Hmmm I say lately Manny has come together real nice his ring awareness is also to be taken into consideration.
Speed, I say even, but Mannys work rate makes for a tuff fight here for Floyd.
Footwork, I wouldnt say all that, look at Mannys last couple of fights, DLH, Hatton and Cotto and Clottey Manny has developed great footwork and has shown in his last two fights how to pivot off to the right and start all over...
Defense advantage, true, true, true, But defense alone doesnt win fights you have to punch there are four criterias and speed,Footwork, Reach advantages and ring IQ is neither of them.....
I say its a pickem fight but I lean more towards manny here due to the trouble Floyd has had with Southpaws with quick hands, and also due to the style that Pac brings, he can fight and box, make no mistake Floyd will have to fight the fight of his life to win this one.

What a fantasy....Mayweather will give Pacquiao a boxing lesson, pot shot him to death....and stop him in about 8-9 rounds. Pacquiao has no boxing or defensive skills compared to PBF.

    It is too easy.

Are you serious about the reach advantage and ring IQ stuff? 5 inch reach advantage in the hands of Floyd will be a RIDICULOUS advantage... To me one of the deciding factors of the fight. Not to mention Floyds ability to adapt with his great ring IQ... He'll start picking Pac appart with that reach/skill advantage and Pac's ring IQ will go down the toilet once he starts realizing hes getting owned, which will lead to him breaking of Freddie's leach and go berzerk like he does when he gets rocked an get even more hits from Floyd.

All those advantages and yet Floyd is tentative about fighting? I'd say the advantage of the fighting heart is on Pac. Among warriors, usually this advantage outweighs the other listed advantages combined

I think Pac will win their bout when they meet!

What can Mayweather possibly say to revert what he said?

    1. Just kidding
    2. I changed my mind
    3. nothing because he really intends to retire

I say the third is the most reasonable.
