He took ripped fuel and it was legal at the time. You could by it at GNC or Wal Mart back then! It wasn't a steroid it was a fat burner. He and Richard Hall failed the drug test after their fight because of it and he never took anything else after that.

 

Don't know what the deal with roy was but plenty of greats used peds. examples are Roger Clemens and Mark Mcgwire
