I was looking forward to hearing hows toney going to handle the training in mma (gym wars). he seems to be kicking some arse!

for those of you that dont know who king mo is just check his highlight on youtube. the guys a badass. He's a big strong wrestler ala lesnar. He is the current strikeforce champion. If toney is handling wrestlers of king mo's calibre then i think toney is for real! he can go places in this game!

rumour has it he is already landing submissions in training and not on ordinary grapplers...

Toney's age and short, stubby body would indicate otherwise. I don't care what reports come out, I have to see it to believe it.

 

the fight will be hard for James. Couture would not just come to boxing and give boxers good fights. I would love to see James do well but I am not sure he will.

Man I love Toney. Look at guys like Mayweather and Haye bitching about taking fights , wanting warm ups and drug tests. Toney doesnt give a **** he will fight anyone.

 

First off Mo is nothing like Lesnar. Secondly he's a light heavy and hardly qualifys as big when compared to Brock. Matter of fact he's a small light heavy.Third he's going to be a part time belt holder. Fourth he's opinion means ****. The guy talks way too much smack. Id take what he has to say with a scoop of salt.

standing up, toney may win via ko but couture is not dumb and he knows he cant beat toney standing up so he will try to take him down and end the fight by submission.

 

ok. Lesnar maybe a few pounds heavier and a few inches taller. but lawal has had more fights at heavyweight than at light heayweight. he has beat up some big dudes. imo his wrestling is very explosive not much difference from guys like lesnar or couture.

 

Toney was a decent wrestler at school, I heard.

 

Good for James. I keep telling people James isn't an average "joe" trying MMA for the first time. James is a natural fighter with incredible instinct. Not to mention he's a talented guy, agile and athletic. I dont' think he'll win against Couture but he'll prove he can hang in there with top UFC guys.
