I would say Dirrell v Ward is perhaps 60/40 in Ward's favour at the moment, this could change depending on how well/badly he copes with Green's speed and in general. Froch has a chance if he can firstly get his confidence back. He seems to have gone quiet after that loss, maybe that's a good thing and shows he's working hard, or maybe he's down-heartened by it, even if he's been saying he won. But he's not as bad technically as people like to believe. His jab is actually very decent and he's got a very good reach, it's stiff and relatively accurate if a bit unorthodox in the way he throws it. His timing is better than people like to believe aswell, and he's a decent counter-punch when he gets into a scrap. The problem is, he's in with a guy who for once, he may not be able to hurt quite as easily as the other guy can hurt him. I don't want him to trust his chin and get involved in a war. He desperately needs to work on his footwork to gain some sort of clear edge in foot-speed so that he can keep his range. I don't mind him leaving his left hand low like others do, as long as he keeps his right hand up. His left hand low gives him more variety offensively, and he can present his shoulder as a line of defence anyway, it sort of lures Abraham into a believing he has a line to attack, when in reality he has to get past that shoulder and Froch's left hand.
I agree about Frochs mentality, if he silent due to determionation to reclaim his honour he will shock us all, if he silent because he questions himself he will be put to sleep.
Abraham is made for Froch, he is short and no doubt Carl will punch him in the jaw region and render him unconcious.
delusional. aa has a very solid defense, and greater power. Froch has no defense whatsoever. AA is going to ko him fairly early on imo.
Green is the most likely not to qualify. He is not a favorite in both his fights. After that, Dirrell and Froch... I hope they will manage to have those two fights on the same night... it would suck if Green is already out and Dirrell lose to Ward... What would be the point of the Abraham - Froch fight? To be the #2 seed? Yeah right.
i think froch beats abraham as long as he doesnt get in a scrap or become negative, i also see green beating ward and there is going to be some controversy in that fight let me tell ya
I see a tragic outcome: Froch gets ahead because of the H2H record as TommyV said, and Dirrell goes home despite being one of the top 2 fighters of the tournament. That one bad decision could ruin the credibility of the tournament.
Please, even if he did deserve to win it was still a close fight, people making it sound like he destroyed Froch. Dirrell deserved to lose because of how he fought and his negative attitude. If dirrell goes home he ahs himself to blame.
it will be green and froch, it's pity for froch, because i like him, his is a true warrior, he puts allways a fight on. abraham will knock froch in the first 6 rounds out. ward will decision green kessler will knock green out dirrell will decision ward
I felt the decision was correct. Dirrell only has himself to blame for not doing enough. Just like Froch only has himself to blame for not doing enough against Kessler.
