If David Haye fights Audley Harrison I will lose all respect for him.

It would unfortunately sell well attendance wise and PPV wise so will probably happen.

Steve Kim was reporting weeks ago that sky were pushing hard for this. It'd be a snoozer, Audley would be even more scared to get hit than usual.

Rob, while you think i'm acting like the tough guy, all I'm really doing is replicating your own tone. But, if it makes you feel better, I apologise for the unnecessary jibes.

    1) you don't have any right based on that criteria. You paid for those fights. If you disapprove of Haye's next match, vote with your wallet. Can't say fairer than that.

    2) You can't exclude Mayweather's fight against Marquez. It was beyond pathetic. That along with fighting Hatton instead of Cotto or Margarito, and Baldomir instead of either of those guys too. He picked lame ducks until Mosley. And that makes it worse - he has the beating of pretty much any fighter out there and he puts up barriers for no reason. Anyway, I digress.

    3) K2 need to back up what they've said. I can say anything I want, but unless it's in writing then it doesn't mean a thing. More likely, K2 said they were prepared to offer it, Booth asked for the offer in writing before they'd respond and they didn't provide it. K2 now say Haye hasn't responded to the offer. See how easy it is? Not denying is not the same as accepting.

    4) the difference between K2 and Warren is that Warren put his offer in writing. He was serious about making the fight, just on his terms. The brothers haven't shown they're serious about the fight because they've not offered anything formal. Just some quotes to Dan Rafael, which count for **** all with me.

    5) Haye came out and criticised Warren's offer because it was an actual offer that he could verify and respond to. Good PR people do not respond to speculation. It's marketing 101. Haye can't respond to something that's not there.

it won't be a snoozer, it'll be an early knockout for david. probably two rounds. the fight shouldn't be happening, and the fight most likely won't do that well on PPV. if boxing fans are thnking twice of buying it, then theres no hope for the casuals.

    I don't agree.

Boxing fans know that Audley is flawed.

Amongst the casuals his profile and gold medal still count for a lot.

It would do decent PPV even if it is just people tuning in to see A-Force get slapped.

All these boxing fans that are moaning I would bet you 90% of them will watch it.

Anybody that defends this potential fight should just log out immediately. It's a horrible fight, a poor fight for British and heavyweight boxing.

Its a **** fight but the problem was highlighted a few pages back when that list of "other" Haye opponents was put up. Haye-Harrision would probably gross more money and create more interest in the UK than any of them.

That doesn't make it acceptable from a purely boxing point of view, but, back in the real world, it means it could well happen.

    And no, I won't log out!:p

There's been no word from Booth or Haye about it though - certainly not confirming they're in negotiations or even want the fight. It sounds more like Sky gave them a list of acceptable opponents. Anyway...

I'm a big Haye fan and travelled up to Machester for the Ruiz fight.

Having said that I can actually see Audley being more of a handfull for Haye than most people expect.

Think about it a moment. By sanctioning a Haye vs Harrison fight, the WBA will be instantly restoring credibility to their version of the world title, as well as allowing the battle, all Britain wants to see.

The winner should then get to fight SNV.

Let the Klits keep running and ducking, because when Audley becomes the champion, the IBF, WBO, WBC et al will be consigned to the bin by the boxing loving public.

You should all just count your lucky stars that Haye isn't Pakistani, otherwise you couldn't even suggest this is a poor fight without being called a big racist.

    Go on now, count em

    1) As I have said. Not only will I stop watching Haye if this fight is made, if other big fights fail to materialise i will move to amateur boxing. My to favourite Sports are more about business than competing to be the best. No one should give me stick about over playing this I am just pasionate about the sport.

    2) You can pick wholes in anyones record. Baldomir was the lineal champion remember that? Margorito was just a WBO belt holder. The Cotto fight never happened because of Bob Arum, Floyd asked for the fight when he beat Gatti.

    3) What your suggesting has happened is just as likley as Klitsckos sending a full faxed offer with everything they have claimed. Personally

    4) Me, you or anyone else outside the camps saw Warrens offer in writing, just like we will not see K2's offer, if it exisits or not. I was not sold when I first read them as I assumed Booth would come out within 48 hours and deny an offer.

    5) Your no marketing expert are you. Hayes reputation in the US is a complete joke. He is not seen as a serious fighter. He has not had a fight broadcast in the US since the Enzo fight. If he wants to "market" himself will he needs to come out defend himself agaisnt the allegations of ducking the Klitsckos.

Here is my thoughts on what could be going on, either

    a) 50-50 offer has been made but Booth wants 50-50 with each side keeping there own countrys TV money.

    b) Haye and Booth do not fancy the fight with Wladamir and are waiting for Wlad vs Povetkin to get confirmed, and fight Vitali who they see as a more winnable fight.

    c) They have seen the cheques coming in since Vitali and Ruiz and money is there focus over legacy. They know the Klitsckos is a risky fight, so want to maximise Hayes earning before sacrificing David agaisnt a Klitscho.

At the moment I am edgeing towards C unfortunatley. If a Klitscko fight doesn't get made I hope Haye is the fighter I thought he was previously and turns down an Audley fight.

Adameck may have a fight with Grant lined up but that could be scrapped quite easialy.

    I work in marketing.

Haye is co-promoted by GBP. Haye is incredibly well thought of in Europe, particularly in Germany and France. HBO have said openly they will pay for Haye vs a Klitschko. The Ring recently featured Haye on the cover. What are you basing your 'Haye's a joke in the US' claim on? The GF on ESB? Maybe you can quote that next time you steal a journalist's work and claim it as your own.
