    In the latest interviews with Allan Green he talks about "speaking the language of Andre Ward", a "language" Mikkel Kessler clearly didn't speak. The question raised in this thread is: What exactly, in boxing technical terms, is it that Green means? What exactly is it that Green can do that can make life tough for Ward?

  2. By "Language" he means "style."

    While I think Green will be able to "speak" a broken version of Ward's language, Andre will be too fluent for him to be able to get his message across.

    Maybe he’s just simply saying “I’ve got the skills/game plan/style to deal with Ward, whereas Kessler didn’t”.

    Spot on.

    He even mentioned certain things in the interview like hitting while being held (which Kessler didn't punch or defend himself when held).

    Green = Puncher's chance

    That's his role. He's reduced to that. Anymore out of him and I'll be impressed.

    Its just his way of selling his chances when in reality he is the HEAVY underdog.

    Best of luck to him though, he seems to have a great personality

    Green has no chance. Everytime he looks at his feet Ward will land a straight right or jab. That will open up his fatality combination of jab right hand ram headbutt and finally finish him with the killer elbow.

    Codrington DID have skill, at least the one that got in with Green.

    His problem is he had NO CHIN at all.

    He had to adapt his style even, was never the same fighter.

    But I think Ward is too hard of a worker to lose this fight.

    Too much has been made about the one fight where Green looked down. He had never done it before the Miranda fight and he has not done it since. Besides, Miranda was never able to take advantage of it during their fight. A healthy Green beats Miranda every time. That being said Ward will be a tough fight for Green.

    Well, the man have to say something! But i think the only "language" Green can "talk" against Ward is an upset.. and that can only mean a ko

    Allan Green can speak english with no danish accent, that's all. Man, this guy is all about getting you outa there with a one punch. How can he box the same way Ward outpunched Miranda and Kessler? BS
