I'm not one bit surprised about it to be honest. When I heard he would be headlining a venue in Limerick I immediately thought to myself that there won't be many venues eager to hold it. It's ****ing bull****. :verysad

Yeah, Baguley's record is fairly muck but it's a keep (very) busy fight so it's great to see. I reckon Murray will make short work of the fight.

Donovan is the class act of Irish boxing right now, I think a lull in his career around the time of the Olympics when he missed out in the seniors must have really refocused him, and fair play.
Still a bit of a shock on Nevin, he's nearly become the one banker in the squad at just 21, remember seeing him go forward on Lindberg last year at the seniors (09) and in fairness he was untouchable.
Apparently most of the highlights are on OB sport tonight.

Good shout Johnny too on Casey, it's a shocker in this day and age but see what happens in towns all across the country whenever there is a traveller wedding? All pubs shut the doors and people don't seem to mind, even enjoy it as part of some surprise lock-in. You just don't expect it at the boxing

I know I'm really jumping the gun here, but I can't help but wonder how many Irish boxers will be at London 2012. I plan on heading over for a few of the fights, and it looks like I'll have enough boxers to support anyway!

Maybe he did too, that can be an issue with him he can get a bit too cocky, although his style does require confidence its a fine line.
Also he is fairly big for a bantam (54kilos)and in tournamnts like this you must make weight everyday you fight, that may be an issue next year the limit goes to 56k so that may suit him better.
Still great day and a great championship.:happy

If they can secure qualifiers in Dublin, who knows. 19 or 20 boxers, at least

Maybe he wasn't getting the money he wanted? He only has, in my opinion, two or three fights left to cash in with. That could be it?
