what do you guys think about pac making cotto come down to 145 (while it was cool to fight oscar at 147), and making oscar come down to 147 (when they were actually even considering yuri foreman at 154).....

yet, the demands mayweather has put out are ridiculous in your guys' eyes......not only that, but dehydrating is dangerous while giving blood aint.....:deal

pacquiao didnt make anyone do anything

oscar became greedy so went after a stupid fight and it backfired on him and cotto said himself after the fight that the weight wasnt an issue at all
    2 pounds aint much
i doubt he came in on fight night at 145 now did he

    as far as blood testing

wtf can pacquiao take 14 days b4 the fight that wont show up in a test straight after the fight

    a side meth?

not a ******* but i could explain the de la hoya fight

de la hoya was the one cherry picking in this one, he asked pac to come up 147 and thought he could easily spank the little filipino around the ring, make a good payday and beat the p4p no.1, it would have been insane for pac to go from 135 to 154.

    Agree.

BTW didnt Oscar fought Bernard Hopkins at a 156 catchweight?

Didnt saw no one complaining about Old Man River having to dehydrate four pounds to defend his titles.

Here is Team Pacquiao's train of thought when selecting opponents:

Roach - "Shane came to my gym twice to negotiate the fight with me. I said Shane can you make 142 or 143, he says no, I say "Okay there's no fight", he says "You fought Oscar at 147", I says "You're not Oscar."

Interviewer - "What did you mean by that?"

Roach - "He's better than Oscar, I mean why should I give him the advantage?"

2 pounds can be quite a lot. Cotto walks around just over 160 normally I believe. He usually loses about 14 - 15 pounds to make weight, losing 16-17 does have some effect. If it didn't Freddie wouldn't have asked for it.

I don't think PAC MADE Cotto do anything. Cotto established the catch weight of 145, not Manny. Considering Cotto would be under 147 on numerous occasisions for the weigh in I don't see why everyone wants to use that as an excuse for him loosing to a better fighter.
