I say to the promoters as I said to boxing fans who have joined this campaign, I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many months of struggle and suffering.
You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. They don't even care, or read half the e-mails.

 

Not sure how it's illegal to download them if essentially no-one owns the rights in the UK. I guess rights reisde with the host promoter, but then they aren't losing out. Possibly illegal from the point of view of the broadcaster as you're watching their show, but do they care if you're outside where they broadcast?

Not sure really what your point is here, are you saying Bob Arum doesn't even try to sell international rights for his fights. Because I'm pretty sure he does.

 

Your messaging the wrong people, do you think us promoters aren't selling their fight to the uk? Message sky, primtime, espn even the bbc if you've got nothing else to do.

 

Yep, its the ****ers this end who arn't buying the fights that are the problem

 

They could be doing legal streams of all their fights for people outside of the US. Even HBO and Showtime could allow us to sign up online to watch fights.

It's crazy to be calling out to want to pay for something, and nobody is willing to sell it.

 

I'd guess the problem for Showtime and HBO is could they be arsed setting streams up for the money it would generate? We're not exactly big business esp. at 4am.

 

So let people watch a replay the next day too, or for the following week. Have people sign up for the year, loads would go for that. You could throw in some of their back catalog of fights, legendary nights, that sort of thing, sweeten the deal.

 

I'm sure they could do something that would help us see fights either next day or on the day live. It's sad times...i'm a big Cotto fan...but the other night i thought to myself at 3 ish i can't be asked with this **** link and i'm tired and it's gonna be poxy quality. Next morning at 10 i watched the fight decent quality. Shame i didn't see it live...
