I'm not sure if everybody here knew that even at 147, Philippine sports officials tried to stop the fight from happening for being a huge mismatch favoring Oscar. Imagine what those guys would have done if Oscar forced pac to fight at 154.

 

Pacquiao was lww champ, Cotto was ww champ, Pac moved up 5lbs, Cotto moved down 2lbs.

Pacquiao was lw champ, Oscar last fought at 150, Pac moved up 12lbs, Oscar moved down 3lbs.

Pac met both in the middle, but in both cases he was the one who shifted the most weight.

in Cotto's case when he was fighting at 140lb just 3 years back and
the demand was to drop a single pound atsch ... with DLH as I
remember Oscar voluntarily agreed to drop down to 147 to face PAC
... do you think it would be more fair if Oscar offered a catch weight
at 150, then cheated PAC as Mayweather cheated Marquez?

I did not mean it to sound like I thought that every single Filipino Pac fan that considers him better than Mayweather and one of the GOAT are all little kids.

A lot of them are adults and serious fans of boxing.

But the internet is wide open out here and anybody can give their opinions or trolling expertise in any discussion.

I just gave an example to make it clear that sometimes, the really bad or racist or terrible posters who discuss about Pac, from all over the net, may not be who you think they are.
