at 6'3 and with a wingspan longer than the klits he is a physical specimen for his weight

only problem is he risks a fight with his chin too much because he fights on the inside negating all his advantages

i think he would be a great fighter and virtually unbeatable from welter to middle and would dominate for years if he hooked with steward would have that jab and right pumping all night and he would stop more people fighting like this

    what do you guys think

I don´t think Emmanuel Steward is gay. And I don´t think homosexual couples are something that is accepted in boxing.

    Lol ^
Totally agree tho. PW nullifies his advantages sometimes, he just dives in with his punches. Imagine if he alays faught tall and mastered his jab. Could be a great pair

Could he be that disciplined tho? P.W seems to me like he can't resist a good punch up

This is what I was thinking myself. I think it would extend his career and he'd be more effective. He really reaches in and dips with that jab he has now. What he needs is exactly what Steward teaches. I think he'd be better.

You wouldn't change his fighting instinct I don't believe, but he could do it a bit more intelligently with more technique I think.

it's too late. It would have worked if Emanuel would have discovered Williams as a kid.

I don't think Williams has the temperament to fight like Manny would try and make him fight. He's got too much dog in him.

Williams is a defensive disaster. It's never hard to find him.

I disagree. I think he needs to develop more of a jab because he needs to be adaptable and show that he can keep a guy off him, rather than always looking for a brawl and trusting his chin and output to see him through.

The reason I disagree is because Steward will have him only fighting in that way. It takes a lot more than simply firing a jab consistently and a good right hand to fight in that manner. Paul's sense of timing would need to improve, he'd need a complete turn around on his personality in terms of staying disciplined, he'd need to vastly improve his ability to keep his range.

And if he's only fighting in that manner, he negates his one major advantage, and that is his stamina and punch output.
